Yeah, it generally doesn't benefit anyone except the sellers to have a name like that leaked. And in this case, it wouldn't. Theoretically this means it should be relatively easy, but of course we know how steep that scales with every additional person that knows.

Two things can be true here: the Flyers' FO is incompetent and Gauthier pulled a cheap move on the team that drafted him.

My theory is that Gauthier just wanted to get into the same division as Lekkerimaki.

Not really quickly. They’ve known since before the 2023 draft. Apparently they tried to trade Gauthier for the #5 pick and Montreal said no.

Sign him up. If Drysdale is better than Walker, he'll play. The Flyers are a merit organization, afterall.

Walker is getting traded anyway, this may speed it up if teams want to get a jump on the deadline. Laughton and Walker as a pair could fetch a nice return.
