In the military, your ID is called a “common access card” of CAC. The number of CAC jokes is immense. Wanna see my CAC? Lost my CAC. Left my CAC at work. I let my friend use my CAC. But as a security professional who had to check IDs at events, the number of CACs I handled daily was imprsssive. And upsetting.

Also you insert your CAC into a lot of things, like to sign into a computer or sign in at an appointment. You just stuff your CAC in a lot of stuff in the military.
