I feel like @Hollywood Couturier is the one who really got bullied, just because he likes garbage music (though even I, his blood relative, have no idea what kind of music he likes outside of Disney songs), and I'm not sure that's cool.
I agree. Please hit up Cap's Venmo to make a donation to help #StopBullying

Also, it's not that I like garbage music, it's that I don't like garbage music chosen by the Philadelphia Flyers that's the issue here.

Don't worry, he's my brother. We're not cousins.

You didn’t debunk a f***ing thing, you just exposed yourself as someone who hates black people because of their skin color and objectifies women. You then dog whistled your army of sycophants to attack and bully me at your request. You were being a contrarian for the sake of the exercise…f*** you for insisting otherwise. You just wanted to defend a moron with a shitty taste in music and made it personal, so I made it personal in return.

I think it was three guys and one cute little girl that sounded a bit like Stevie Nicks. The girl and two other guys shared vocals. I think they only did one album before they split, probably 20 years ago. They opened for Pigface and them I saw one solo show where I answered a trivia question about the recently deceased Linda Lovelace and won an Imperative Reaction CD. And that's my story.

OK but I need the name of the band an album, I'm not gonna try to Google who opened for every Pigface show.

What is a Pigface? Great band name.

See, this is that bullying thing I talked about.

HC didn't like two songs you are apparently devoted to. You inexplicably called him a country music fan. I pointed out your claims about country music aren't universally true at all. Then, despite the fact that I've repeatedly pointed out country is not remotely my preferred genre, you've decided for no reason that it is and then you've decided that liking a specific genre must mean someone is misogynistic and racist.

Then from there I guess you totally lost it when I pointed out that per your logic you must be a violent meth user due to your fondess for wrestling, which I did as a means of demonstrating how absurd your reasoning is. I mean, you really really need to re-read the thread for a proper timeline here. Try doing it through a neutral lens and imagine how your posts would look to others!

But it seems like you're already downed half a tub of protein powder today, so you're struggling to process all of this and taking it out on me. Good luck with it.

Go boil up a hotdog sandwich. Have some fries with malt vinegar. Have a mint. You'll feel much better.

You continue to willfully ignore the nuance in what I was saying. You’re very clearly fond of that entire era, of which the music was one part, and that particular era was full of white supremacy, racism, and misogyny. You also seem way too comfortable being labeled a racist piece of shit….almost as if you enjoy it. You’re projecting your shitty values. There is a reason country music isn’t part of the cultural zeitgeist except in tiny pockets; because it’s f***ing trash and caters to scumbags. Of course it’s popular in the south, they’re illiterate jerkoffs who are still litigating the Civil War.

But again, if you’re not a racist scumbag then why are you so comfortable being labeled as one?

Your label is worthless, because you're shockingly ignorant of US culture outside of wrestling. I don't care about a worthless opinion that's based on wildly terrible reasoning. It's also based on entirely incorrect assumptions about me. Assumptions that run directly contrary to what I've tried to teach you.

I told you music history facts. I've told you repeatedly I don't listen to country myself. You're the one struggling with reading comprehension here. Don't rage at me for it. Try that mint, it'll cool you down.

I knew this place was insane, but "everyone who doesn't like a middling-popular song by a random Italian band is racist" was not the take I was expecting to see here today.

An all-time great accidentally awful leap. Like saying you aren't a fan of candy corn, and someone promptly concluding that means you must vote for Mussolini's relatives.

You very clearly miss that era. Why the f*** else would you miss it other than racism and sexism? You made it an entirely different discussion when you brought that up. Stop being a f***ing dick and try treating people who don’t look exactly like you with respect, you hateful f***ing scumbag. Stop being a coward and learn to be empathetic of others. It doesn’t f***ing matter if you don’t listen to country if you want segregation back, f***ing racist moron.

Do you think you can just stomp on whomever you want because you have grossly wide feet?

I'd rank this among the top five meltdowns we have ever had on here.
Meh, he had the possibility of keeping it realistic for a while there but he's crossed over to it just obviously being schtick. Fine line. He wasn't capable of straddling it due to his likely inner hate for himself with his projections onto others.

My original point was “if you think an objectively catchy and upbeat song is trash, you have terrible taste and your opinion in this discussion is worthless”.

The racist scumbag turned that into longing for the 50’s and 60’s and got upset when he got called out for his racism and misogyny. He’d rather double down on being a piece of shit than educate himself and learn to be tolerant.

As a dude with a history major I know a lot about the 11th century. Does simply knowing about it mean I want to bring it back and live in it and glorify it and go fight Crusades?

Because that's the reasoning you're working with here. I want to see how consistent you are.

Can you quote the post where I longed for the 50s or 60s? It's a claim you've made, yet I never did it.
