The signs of the poor forward depth have been there all year. When they were getting shutout by every 3 or 4 swingin Dan's, Jordan's. Scott's and Mackenzie's that they faced.

Sure I agree with you. But at the end of the day when the team needs goals the most. The players I mentioned are on the ice and they don’t usually get it done. So depth sure, but the “best” players need to actually be good and clutch.

This inept maybe not but people vastly overestimate the talent level of this roster. It’s not good. Especially with no Nico and Haula (also Haula falling off a cliff).

Meanwhile the flyers are beating us because they’re playing connected team first hockey.

We are gripping our sticks, getting nervous, trying to play with individual talent only.

Jack/Bratt/Nico are mentally weak. Dominate with consistency and then that won’t be the case

They have no centers outside of Jack. If you take two or the top three centers out of most lineups they are going to take a step back offensively. Of course that is a bit on the GM.

Mercer, Dowling, Lazar down the middle is a lottery team center lineup. Even with Jack on line 1.

I can't wait for the amazing GM to say ''These aren't excuses, Markstrom and Nico were injured. These are big pats of ah team'' like he did last year and offseason on his apology podcast tour.

if the team fails this year the fault lies directly at the feet of Jack, Bratt, Nico and Timo. not Sheldon, not Mercer, not the bottom six ,not the goaltending and not Fitz.

Team can’t score when it matters for years now. That’s on the best players exclusively

Instead the guys in the bottom six are a drag 5v5 and those top 6 guys are also better on the PK as well. Somehow a season after icing Chris Tierney for 52 games he didn't learn his lesson and the Devils have played Justin Dowling for 34 games and counting.

Just shut the up. Jack and Bratt are the only line going right now. Nico obviously isn’t even in the lineup. If you don’t have center depth beyond one line you aren’t going to score 5v5. This isn’t about our top player being “mentally weak.”
