I’m not basing my opinion on him off one game so that doesn’t matter, point still stands. Terrible pick. And taking two penalties leading to two goals is awful regardless of whether he is
Will you let me know which one of these prospects will become NHL players, so I dont root for the rest of the scrubs.

Barron's game has been immaculate this afternoon with the major exception of the faceoff circle.

Holy over reaction Batman
Not really. He was a do not draft for me. I was vocally against him before the draft and he hasn’t showed anything that makes me reconsider. Still early sure, but two dumb penalties leading to two dumb goals is what I expected. He tries to be something he’s not

Adam Fox was a do not draft for me

If you're ever feeling bad about your player development takes, remember that Jared Staal was picked in the second round despite literally everyone knowing he was a Central Hockey League level player

Really loving Cuylle's game. He could be the best thing Lias ever did for us

.. he will not be an NHLer...

Such silly overstatement.
Kid was one of Canada's best at U18Worlds.
Held his own in a Swiss Men's league at barely 18.
Coaches love him.

He may not make it.
But stating that, with certainty, now, has nothing to do with the player.

And you do realize today's hockey is completely meaningless, re stats/results.
It's just about getting these guys being best ready for big camp

Do you think it’s a possibility Jones makes it over Lundkvist?

I think it's a fully open competition, especially if it takes Nils a minute to get used to North American hockey.

How comfortable Gallant is with playing blueliners on their off side will also be interesting to see.

He’s a bad skater with a predictable shot that will look good against CHL/Swiss goalies but will struggle in the NHL. Says he compares himself to Matt Tkachuk but the difference is Tkachuk naturally plays like that, Othmann tries too hard to play like that. His frame is small and he won’t ever intimidate anyone at the NHL level. He gets hit more than he dishes them. Also, drafting someone that’s labeled as a better players sidekick is always a bad sign, he’s a complimentary player and another LW at that. I’m still holding out hope he’s just someone we drafted to be apart of a package deal later on. He’ll light up the OHL next year but his skillset and the way he plays won’t translate.
