Stan Bowman could not be here today, he was advised by his lawyers to allow his protector to speak on the team’s behalf:

“Edmonton is proud to select from Portland of the WHL”

David Poile: Hey everyone, glad to be back for another pick for the Preds.

Brian Poile: Daaaaaaad, it's my tuuuuurn.

David Poile: Look son, the team needs a win. You're not ready and Trotz has lost it. Now step back and let Daddy do his thing.

Brian Poile: MOOOOOOOMMMMMM! Dad won't give me the microphoooooooone!

David Poile: Sorry everyone. I know he's whiny but he'll get there some day. Right now, I'm going to work the kind of magic that I worked for this team in the past. At this identical spot in the draft in 2013, I took a flyer on a smallish Finnish goalie who has emerged as their #1. Trotz was so confident in that pick, Juuse Saros, that that moron signed him to a mega-deal and then traded away Askarov who I picked in 2020 to succeed Saros and help keep the cap squared up. Numbskull.

Anyway, Nashville needs me to try and rectify that neckless baboon's move (luv ya Barry), so I'll do it right here, right now by repeating history.

With the 99th pick in the 2025 NHL Entry Draft, the Nashville Predators are pleased to select, from Kiekko-Espoo in Liiga, goalie Petteri Rimpinen.

@GKJ , make that pick!

Boston Bruins select defenseman Bryce Pickford, from Medicine Hat, who has been blowing shit up for them in the WHL playoffs. I think he just set a league record for goals in consecutive playoff games by a defenseman
