maybe we'll score Two!

Jets streak now at 2 games

First line doesn’t score, then nobody else will

Need an upgrade on the second D pairing if this team wants to advance in the PO’s!

No way that guy should have been picked as pope in Conclave

Helly was very good again!

Should be an interesting week in who go’s, who stays and who comes in!

I guess now is a good time for the PP to slump. Seems like there is less net front presence to me. Maybe guys trying to stay healthy for the long run.

Jets sure dominated OT. Nice save by Cates there.

I think Fedotov being a goalie the Jets haven't seen much had the advantage. Didn't realize he was a giant.

I like how Vilardi described Barron as a horse skating, nice to see him back in the lineup.

For those in attendance what was the ratio of Flyers jerseys...seems like the Clarke/Leach loyalties run deep.

Thankfully these losses don't matter too much. Rather be the hunted than the hunters at this time of year. Just have to find that extra gear when it matters.

Starting to wonder if we are going to see Hellebuyck-Binnington rematch.

These teams that won't die are sure complicating the trade deadline.

Mediocre (at best) Flyers team trying desperately to claw their way back into a playoff spot vs. a Jets team that seems content to coast for a bit, yields an expected result.

As @surixon said, probably a good time for Jets to refocus. A few really ugly turnovers - the one by DeMelo in the second period stood out - that will bite us if they’re happening against good teams in the playoffs.
DeMelo also made a fantastic play sliding to break up a 2 on 1 after a Morrissey mistake at the Flyers blue line.

Torts runs a system very similar to arniel... i like the flyers

The only blueprint to beat the Jets is for the Jets to overpass and look for the perfect play...
We have a bingo

Another bingo

Hold your cards 🤪

I thought jomo had an uncharacteristically bad game (for him). Got caught on bad pinches a couple times, bad shot selection and some mishandles.

The 3rd line got hemmed quite a bit for them, didn't really like their game. Nino has to wake up, he's been cold for a while.

I thought the bottom pair was good. Stanley made some sneaky good passes to agave the puck for quality opportunities.

Snerg has to find a way to get his shot to the net.

Not pulling the alarm, but the Jets haven't won in regulation in 4 games (saving grace is they got 5 of 8 points).

I think this could be a positive as playing desperate teams is a good playoff primer.

The Jets have been getting other teams best effort for quite a while now. I hope that's a good lesson for them as we head to the post season.

One correction, we beat Ottawa in regulation 2 games ago but otherwise a good breakdown. :thumbu:

Haven't had a chance to watch the last few games, but just took a look at the NHL standings to admire the Jets' and Helle's #1 overall status.

While there, I noticed that Scheifele is second (T) overall in league goal scoring and there are only ~ a half dozen Canadian born players in the top 20. They are going to have a lot of trouble keeping the born-again (double entendre intended) Scheifele from the Olympic team.

I would say it was a subpar effort because of the blueprint. It quashed their spirit. Helly was solid and that is good to see but my post traumatic playoff doldrums sonar is going off.

Quashed their spirit? They started with like 2 shots in 12 minutes, there was no spirit there to begin with.

I'm curious to see what Chevy does this week. Lots of upgrades can be made but who and how many?
And being in 1st place maybe its ridiculous to make many changes.
*!st line still concerns me with their subpar defense getting dominated by a good team.
*2nd line is tiny. Perfetti is the guy I'd move down the lineup.
*Apples and Nino too slow. They get dominated by a fast team.
*4th line I love. Barron, Kupari, Iafalo are great.
*Need at least 1 D.

If you think Apples is slow, you need to see an opthamologist.

Can I bring something up that’s maybe a bit controversial. We go to maybe 3 games a year.

The arena experience, just sucks. I don’t mean the rink layout itself, or the expensive concessions - but the atmosphere is like being at a funeral home. An atmosphere that was such a good draw.

I remember in the first few years the team came back, it was exciting nearly every time. Now, I feel it’s just music played extra loud to make it seem like there is crowd noise.

I understand that ticket prices in today’s economic times price a lot of people out. It definitely does seem like a middle to older aged crowd most times - but it’s just disappointing I guess.

Not sure how to fix that, prices are going to keep a lot of the “Bomber Crowd” from being able to attend, but it’s getting harder to justify spending good money to sit in such a frankly boring environment.

I think part of the problem was a 1-1 game with not a tonne to cheer about. I have been to a few games this season where there was a very good atmosphere but i have also been to a couple that were kinda boring. I think we will make up for it during the White-out.

It’s been a trend for me I’ve seen continuing for a few years now.

The playoffs will be a different animal I’m sure of that, but I can’t help shake the feeling that most of the regular season games is like going to play bingo at an assisted living facility.
