I was at the game and was stuck by how cool Helly is. Also thought Buff and Wheeler were really good. One guy who seems to have slipped a bit to me is Armia, and I am a huge fan of his. Just seems slow out there.
Yup. Always seem in control. Good possession, never panic, and one goal leads seem safe. Having Helly helps too.I take it you are joking as the Jets really settled things down in the 3rd after a bit of a run and gun 2nd. This team has impressed on how calm and cool they appear in all situations.
Armia is playing hurt I was at the game he kept going on the ice between whistles and shaking his right leg I think it’s his knee.He kept double pushing with his left leg.He has a couple of plays where his knee gave right out.He has been slow for the last couple of games and I now know why.I could see Hendricks,Tanev and Armia all being out for the next game.I was at the game and was stuck by how cool Helly is. So I hate to tell you then we will struggle when scheif returns with too many good players in lineup
agreed- all around better playerJust an excellent team win. Hellebuyck is proving that you won't beat him with regular stuff. It's got to be a great play to beat him. I feel like Pavelec would have let in at least 2 goals in this game.
I am super impressed with Roslovic's offensive ability. I think he's better than Kyle Connor tbh. Great passer. Connor has the better release but Roslo sees the ice very well.

I would love to hear Helle talk about the difference between last season and this season; just the whole expecting to be the #1 goalie and struggling; what he did in the off season; why he made the choice to do what he did in the off season; what he learned; why he felt what was important to learn? And why he is better today.
I find the whole thing quite fascinating...just his process of being a big boring goalie to being a somewhat manic goalie to being a quiet goalie again.
Somebody in the Jets organization who can make this happen, please do it.
Also, it would be eye opening to hear players (who have been here from the beginning or early on) to talk honestly about the transition, mentally, personally and organizationally from being a bad team to a good team.
It would be the most interesting documentary since Morgan Freeman narrated that Penguin movie
That's better...Hellebuyck is mother ****ing legit!
The Jets franchise finally has a star goalie for the first time after all these years.
I think Matthias is the first one in and then Lemieux. Matthias kills penalties.
I'd give Lemieux a look but am not against giving Petan another shot. He has been playing well and should be rewarded as well as graded against NHL competition again. He is a RFA this summer.
If it were me, Lemieux would be first choice and Petan 2nd with Appleton a very close 3rd. Matthias would only be used as a last resort if I had any say.

Them being Chef and Wheeler? How many games did he have with Lanie?I don't know. Connor played pretty great for a lot of games on the top lime. He had an amazing chemistry with them and was a real hound on digging the puck out. Kind of a good problem.

The depth on this team is freakin unreal. Key centre goes down..... No problem. Key defenseman goes down..... No problem. One of the coolest things that I have never seen before on a Jets team is that we only need to look toward our prospects to make improvements, not at the free agent market, or trades. But if we want to target a particular need going into the trade deadline, we have the assets to make a big splash if we feel we need to make the deal. Great job Chevy!!!
