I was at the game and was stuck by how cool Helly is. Also thought Buff and Wheeler were really good. One guy who seems to have slipped a bit to me is Armia, and I am a huge fan of his. Just seems slow out there.

I take it you are joking as the Jets really settled things down in the 3rd after a bit of a run and gun 2nd. This team has impressed on how calm and cool they appear in all situations.
Yup. Always seem in control. Good possession, never panic, and one goal leads seem safe. Having Helly helps too.

Armia is playing hurt I was at the game he kept going on the ice between whistles and shaking his right leg I think it’s his knee.He kept double pushing with his left leg.He has a couple of plays where his knee gave right out.He has been slow for the last couple of games and I now know why.I could see Hendricks,Tanev and Armia all being out for the next game.

Yes I was joking, our third was awesome. Just a joke about Hendy the gluestick and things falling apart without him.

Just an excellent team win. Hellebuyck is proving that you won't beat him with regular stuff. It's got to be a great play to beat him. I feel like Pavelec would have let in at least 2 goals in this game.

I am super impressed with Roslovic's offensive ability. I think he's better than Kyle Connor tbh. Great passer. Connor has the better release but Roslo sees the ice very well.
agreed- all around better player

I would love to hear Helle talk about the difference between last season and this season; just the whole expecting to be the #1 goalie and struggling; what he did in the off season; why he made the choice to do what he did in the off season; what he learned; why he felt what was important to learn? And why he is better today.

I find the whole thing quite fascinating...just his process of being a big boring goalie to being a somewhat manic goalie to being a quiet goalie again.

Somebody in the Jets organization who can make this happen, please do it.

Also, it would be eye opening to hear players (who have been here from the beginning or early on) to talk honestly about the transition, mentally, personally and organizationally from being a bad team to a good team.

It would be the most interesting documentary since Morgan Freeman narrated that Penguin movie:m-dance::m-dance::m-dance:

Hellebuyck is mother f***ing legit!

Is the Jets franchise finally going to have a star goalie for the first time after all these years.

I think Matthias is the first one in and then Lemieux. Matthias kills penalties.
I'd give Lemieux a look but am not against giving Petan another shot. He has been playing well and should be rewarded as well as graded against NHL competition again. He is a RFA this summer.
If it were me, Lemieux would be first choice and Petan 2nd with Appleton a very close 3rd. Matthias would only be used as a last resort if I had any say.

Matthias is injured so i doubt hes in. Week to week is what Maurice said a few days ago.

I think lowry will be back vs yotes

Copp moves to 4c

Laine Perreault Connor Lemieux
Wheeler Little Lowry Copp
Roslo Ehlers Armia Dano.

I don't know. Connor played pretty great for a lot of games on the top lime. He had an amazing chemistry with them and was a real hound on digging the puck out. Kind of a good problem.

The depth on this team is freakin unreal. Key centre goes down..... No problem. Key defenseman goes down..... No problem. One of the coolest things that I have never seen before on a Jets team is that we only need to look toward our prospects to make improvements, not at the free agent market, or trades. But if we want to target a particular need going into the trade deadline, we have the assets to make a big splash if we feel we need to make the deal. Great job Chevy!!!

Them being Chef and Wheeler? How many games did he have with Lanie?

It is crazy. We have Connor and Roslo step in, both are already proving they can be top 9 or even 6 NHL players, they both didn't make opening night. Dano would be in many NHL teams lineups, he is an extra here. We have quite a few wingers that can play C if needed. Wheeler has struggled at times but has done as much or more as you could ask. Little after a rough start has been pretty darn solid for the most part since Scheifele went down and he went with Perreault and Ehlers. When fully healthy we are going to have 4 very good lines that can all chip in. IMO once healthy hands down the deepest forward group in the NHL by a pretty good margin

Quick thoughts...

Another big win. Jets up near 60% in CF.

3 regulation time goals against in 3 home games against the Bolts, Knights and Avs (they rank #1, #3 and #9 in goals scored this season). The Jets are playing a smothering D in their own zone. Hellebuyck only needs to be solid.

LWR - Better game for Wheeler. He really started to skate more, and that makes all the difference for him. Laine was also moving better. Roslovic with another beauty of a game. He's very fast, plays with top pace, and has great vision and hands. He's a keeper.

PLE - Little continued his good play. Ehlers and Perreault continue to give teams fits with their speed, and Perreault's tenacity on the puck. They dominated their opponents.

TCA - Copp continues to show his class as an all-around player. Solid in all three zones. Fast and strong. He can play with just about anyone. Armia not as strong a game - looked a step slower than usual. Tanev with his usual pedal-t0-the-metal game. Hope he's not badly injured.

CHD - Connor had another good showing. Was really good in the 3rd when he got a shift or two with Wheeler. Dano was fine, but just seems to lack the speed to make an impact.

44-57 Outstanding game from Morrissey, as we've come to expect. Myers was a gong show with the puck. It wasn't just on the PP - he missed a lot of his passes. But he was tough and hard to play against defensively. Kept things clean.

39-33 Solid game from Buff. Nothing fancy. When he plays like this you have confidence that he could play this style through the playoffs and be effective. Enstrom is having a nice bounce-back after some ups and downs over the past couple of seasons.

7-5 Decent game by Chiarot. Nothing fancy. Plays hard in his own zone. Kulikov keeps impressing, this time with his ability to play the R side effectively.

Hellebuyck was solid, which is all he needed to be. His rebound control is very good - such a welcome improvement over Pavs.

That 1st PP was impressive. The PK continues to improve.
