NWhat's up with the CHL? No LIVE coverage of the Memorial Cup in the States? The NHL Network is showing a pre-game for game 3 of the Stanley Cup. Our suite here at Amalie is transmitting the TSN feed.

Yes, I later found out that Memorial Cup games that coincidence with Stanley Cup games would be taped delayed on the NHL Network. Dates of Memorial Cup games with no Stanley Cup game will be shown live on the NHL Network.N

I think my list of "possibilities" are as follows. Obviously some of these guys probably won't be available, but its a list loaded with OA's.
Joe Ranger OA*
Marco Costantini OA*
Anson Thornton
Joe Vrbetic OA*
Xavier Medina OA*
Nick Chenard OA* (But I feel like Owen Sound will be a contender)
Mathias Onuska OA*
Will Cranley OA*
Tristan Lennox OA*
Tynan Tucker OA*
Really wish that would have been us.
i think you have a done deal to be annouced for an 02 goalie coming
mentioned this yesterday in the ottawa forum
Would have rather had Ranger for the 4th personally.I don’t like that at all. I haven’t seen him play much but his numbers are far from great. Throw in he’ll be taking up an OA spot too. Flint already has to jettison two of Piercey, Deline, Panwar, Terry and Mayotte. Now it’s 3 of them for a kid that had a 3.81GAA and a .873 save%? This is their year if Othmann returns. As much as I like their potential, Day, Michelone, Nixon (who they signed) won’t be ready to take the reigns of a Championship run next year. Goalies are NEVER all that expensive. Go get Thornton from Sarnia. Or if it’s an OA, he better be lights out because your basically giving up Panwar or Terry or Piercey in that trade. Spend. If you have to follow the Hamilton model and strip the cupboard bare to get there, then do it. There’s enough 17-18yo talent to trade back those picks quickly.
I think Cranley will be the #1 if assigned. Can and would we still trade for another goalie who isnt an OA Or will Canley be our new #1 is he is assigned here?
With those numbers I think Day can take the job from him and they’re basically trading Panwar or Piercey for him. Not good. They should have pushed for Thornton even if they had to give up a little more to convince Sarnia to leave him in Conference.I think Cranley will be the #1 if assigned.
Don't think they trade for another goalie and waste an OA spot on A backup.
Obviously St. Louis saw something in him, drafting and SIGNING him. So he's gotta have some potential in there, maybe Greg Steffan can find it. It's a very low risk, high reward possibility. If not, you play a month or 2 with him, if he can't figure it out, you release him, you lost a 15th rounder. The conditionals can change value? All these trades you see them posted as what I would assume the value would be.its a conditional 15th, if he plays a game for flint itll be much more then a 15th, maybe a 3rd?
*15th trade occurs often. I would expect a 4th + if with the firebirds beyond the cut-off date of being able to roster more than 3 OAsThe conditionals can change value? All these trades you see them posted as what I would assume the value would be.
Zito trade today has 2 conditionals a 4 and a 5.
Last year when we traded for Bertuzzi it was announced as a conditional 4th and 7th, that was if he reported.
flint doesnt post them, probably because they are entirely based on if the player comes or not. do you honestly believe that a signed nhl goalie prospect is only worth a 15th round pick? just use some logic on this one.The conditionals can change value? I assumed since he was signed he was going pro, and Flint was just taking a flyer on his rights. His numbers are bad tho, if its a 3rd and 5th, they got absolutely robbed. i was told its a 3rd and 5th if he plays. for whatever reason they didnt publish it.
3rd and a 5th are involved, 2024, just dont know if its both or individal based on performance. im not sold ranger is all that good either to be honest, he was waived a year ago and was out of the league.I assumed since he was signed he was going pro, and Flint was just taking a flyer on his rights. Just saying side by side on paper, Ranger >>>>> Cranley easily.3rd and a 5th are involved, 2024, just dont know if its both or individal based on performance. im not sold ranger is all that good either to be honest, he was waived a year ago and was out of the league.
keep in mind mississauga is a better team and generally the better team you have, the better save percentage you have. im not saying one is better then the other, but its way closer then you think imo. i mean look at cavlans stats before this yearJust saying side by side on paper, Ranger >>>>> Cranley easily.
Obviously we didn't get to see either of them this year in Flint. But a big fan of Ranger's save % compared to Cranley's.
