The new kid they got is awesome, he's 10000x better than the clown they had before.

The old dude is insufferable.
Rosy is comical. He’s the most homer in the league and he doesn’t even try to hide it. I was dying tonight when he said “God dang it!!!” on a breakaway. My kid is back from college for Easter and hadn’t seen the Kitchener comeback so we watched the last bit of that game. Kressler was on the ice late in the 3rd. I wasn’t specifically watching for it but I didn’t notice anything with him at all. He was scratched for the OS game and has been MIA since….

I saw him in the over hang during that Owen Sound game, saw half the squad up there. I have not seen him up there since. I've noticed Klink, Aspinal, and Gee.

Just a super strange situation. Has anyone else noticed him in the arena?

I‘ve only seen the 3.

Well, no matter what it’s been a fun series. The 05’s-03’s are gonna get their 3rd game 7 experience and Nathan Day has emerged as probably the premiere ‘05 goaltender in the league. He’s gonna be scary good with 2 more years of development. Nolan Dann has shown that if you put the puck on his stick when he’s open he’ll produce. Ethan Hay’s FO% is like 127% and he has more points than Lombardi, Hayes or Piercey in this series. I’m hoping they do a quick re-set next season and then for once really load up for a run in 24-25 with their ‘05 group.

I think Flint can load up and take the west next season. The 2004 born and potential OAs might be the best in the division. I really like the D for next season if Guryev returns.
Giroux 24/31 as well as Hay 13/20 crushed it at the face-off dots last night. Giroux had to be >80% in the 3rd period.

Robertson, Krawchuk, Day, Costanza, Bowen; there are some potentially very good goalies among the ‘05 born.

Maybe the best (‘04 & OAs) (in the west). Potentially Guryev, Giroux, Dann, Hayes, Pitre, Bradshaw, Petrou, Slavicek, Smith, Stoykov.

Petrou was traded to Oshawa in Oct.
I really think they try and upgrade on Slavicek, he's been here 2 years and disappears for weeks. Barely played the last 2 nights.

Was just making sure you weren't including the likes of a Lombardi or Kressler.

I think the OAs with Guryev, Giroux, and Dann can be good if you get the Dann from this series and not the guy that disappeared for weeks.

It might be difficult to get two imports better than Slavicek in the off-season. I really don’t know what to expect with Slavicek. He looks pretty darn good at times, particularly with Kressler. My guess is the defence and physicality (at 18) is not up to Dent’s standard for big games. Right now, he is neither top 2 RW or LW; so if he is not going to play on an offensive, he might not play much at all.

Don't disagree with that either. Maybe he takes a leap, he will have 2-3 weeks where he's great, then he disappears for 6+ weeks.
Last night talking, we thought an IMP D to replace Kuzmin made the most sense, but if Guryev does come back, you might be able to find a scorer to help fill your top 6. Stojkov and Jenken greatly improved this year.

Guryev (03, OA)
Smith (04)
Stojkov (04)
Bertucci (05)
Jenken (05)
Gee (06)
Strohack (06)

Who? Is that someone Day helped coach? Seriously though. Really, really lucky to have had Luke between the pipes for all those years and it looks like they actually managed to find a suitable successor. I think both are going to have successful Pro careers.

I think we can give Cavs a coaching credit for some of Days recent success. I have it on very good authority that Cavs in addition to being a rock between the pipes last year was also a huge mentor to Day. Day is unflappable now and Cavs did a lot to help him get there.
