Unlucky with a really bad bounce on a slow rolling puck, but MAF put it best, " You stop, THEN play the puck."

there was also a GA on a pass that was going wide, but went in off Spurgeon's skate. Buncha sharpshooters, Edmonton.
Mr. Funny-Pranks-Man is getting ready to retire and is working his bucket list. He pranked the whole team while playing…check.

Lets in a babyshit soft goal
Still wins
#just Fleury things
He actually played really well in that game. His rebound control was a bit off, but he also hadn't played in 2 weeks. He made a fair number if great saves.

Obviously, that goal is hilarious. All things considered though, he earned that win 100%.

Couldn’t have happened to a goalie with a more annoying face than Fleury.
Hope this burns a hole in your gut

How? How is this possible? An insane bounce. On a fresh sheet of ice.

Sure, the puck bounced, but that's why you don't try and one hand it away and leave your 5-hole all open. I was taught that when I was 12 years old.

These things happen though. Sometimes even pro's get a brain fart.

the bounce does not matter. its impossible for the puck to bounce past you if you approach this correctly.

you are NOT supposed to assume the puck moves as normal. you are supposed to prepare for all possible bounces. that's why you don't swing like a dumbass while leaving your 5hole all open. if you have it all covered, you can swing at it. That's an extra, but it's NOT supposed to be something that screws you over if you miss.

And yeah, as above, this is like, learned at 8 years of age.

Is anyone shocked this happened to the flower. This couldn’t happen to any other nhl goalie.

Kinda eerie, its like watching a mirror image actually. Right down to the forechecker kinda coming in hot if you dont sweep it away...

McDraiChard were pretty much invisible.
Is that organic and gluten-free?

Nothing beats this:

The thing with the Brodeur-whatever-the-f***-that-was-in-2003-goal, I can never figure out what his thought process was that made that unfold.

Doing his best Vesa Toskala impression

Honestly that might be the worst goal against I’ve ever seen. That one is even worse than the Toskala goal.

The thing about the Toskala goal, Im absolutely convinced somebody working the game wasn't paying attention and handed the official a warm puck (ie pocketpuck, which I'd assume NHL refs know not to do). It would explain so well how the puck is moving like its made of flubber.

Crease area is usually markedly worse than the rest of the rink for ruts and it takes more than one flood to get rid of a deep rut.

Skaters are more gliding over the rest of the ice and goalies are basically stomping hard into the blue ice before pushing. and modern goalies are usually doing it with 200+ lbs of weight and skates with deeper hollows and more bite.
