Coronato's fall there looked like peroneal nerve paralysis.

Not unlike what Sean O'Malley had in his first fight vs Vera.

Except he didn't get hit here. Not that I saw and it was delayed onset.

He should be fine if that's what it was.
Pinched his nerv when he twisted ackwardly.

it looked like when Gio caught a rut back in 08-09 and sprained his ankle and ended up missing the rest of the season and playoffs

Is Farabee injured? Doesn't look like a player.

Frosty looks impressive though.

Move Bee down with Backlund and shelter his acclimatisation.

Coro up.

That was tense. Vladar came up with a pretty solid game on the back to back. Good stuff. Big 2 points!

Vladdy nearly came across and snared that first snipe that went in, and that second one should not have been a defensive zone face-off, but he stayed with it, and the boys pulled it out, even though they were probably dog-ass tired and getting used to brand-new players and lines.

While it’s obvious that Frosty is a pretty decent playmaking pivot, I’m still on the fence as to what they have in Farabee. But I do think they should put the two natural snipers in Coro and Rango with Frosty, and Farabee with Backs and Coleman until he gets acclimated to the new system. Pospy has already played with Naz and Huby this season, so just plop him back there, and bump him to 4C with Lombo and Klapper (or 4RW if the Roondog obsession persists) when Zary gets back.

Two points up on the Nucks now, and only one back of LA 💪🏼🥳🔥

Toffoli looked awful when he was traded here, potted 34 goals and 73 points the following year. Making takes on a player 2 games after a mid-season trade is a great way to have some posts age very poorly.

His career goal totals are why I think he has the potential to be a huge addition. Going by age he started the season, here’s what his NHL goal paces look like:

Age 19: 13 goal pace
Age 20: 30 goal pace (also 57 point pace)
Age 21: 22 goal pace
Age 22: 15 goals
Age 23: 22 goals

If we get him back on track this is a crazy addition we got for pennies on the dollar.

I can't make a take on a player because they don't age well after 2 games?

I don't care mate.

I made an observation, as he doesn't look right at the moment. I didn't say it can't get better.

He's on pace to score 58 pts this year. His goal scoring has improved (he's on a 31 goal pace) but he's not getting his normal number of assists.
Ignoring the goals/assists part, I think Huberdeau has rebounded in just how he's playing. Points or not, he's playing good hockey for the most part. It looks like whatever mental block he had his first couple years is gone. He's playing with confidence and a bit of swagger, so I'd definitely say he's rebounded.

Solid win.
I will say though, we do not have the horses to clamp a game down. Our defensive group is probably bottom 5-10 in the league and if Wolf’s not in net there’s concern that any shot could in fact beat Vladar.

Don’t think I loved Huska’s strategy there for the last two periods.

This team needs some help on the backend,

Give the guy a chance to catch his breath. He played Thursday in New York, flew to Calgary Friday, played Saturday in Calgary and flew to Seattle to play on Sunday. He probably doesnt know what city hes in let alone what time zone. I wont judge that line until they have had a few practices to figure things out and Farabee has a chance to settle down.

Very happy Vlad got a win. Guy battles for the Flames and usually gets zero goal support. Flames were under water for the last 40min of the game and he kept them in it.

Flyers fan here… I watched this one to see how Frost and Farabee were playing.

Re Farabee, like all mid-six forwards he’s visually streaky, but he’s been near the top of the lead in even strength scoring rates for most of the time he’s been in the NHL. So, history would suggest he’ll score eventually. He’s a great complementary winger to a line with high-end talent.

Re Frost, he’s been my favorite Flyer for 3 years now. I watched him at SOO during juniors a bit as well. I have a long history of arguing with other Flyers fans about his potential. I have always believed that he’s a low-end 1C, capable of 60+ points.

I know it’s one game, but watching him last night made me feel more confident in that. During his tenure with the Flyers, he would occasionally flash skill, but always played what I felt was reserved because there was always a fear of getting scratched. Last night he was free, he made plays that were more aggressive in nature than he would here at the Flyers. I thought he was one of the best skaters on the ice.

In regards to your last sentence, obviously if Farabee returns to form, it would be huge. But, I really think Frost will take a step forward and goes from a high 45-point mid-six center to a 55-60 point center, and then this trade is going to look absolutely horrendous from a Flyers perspective — it already looks really bad.

I will be around your boards a bit as I plan checking in from time to time on these guys.
