Calgary will play that game in hand Saturday night, as they host Vegas.

Wild don't play again until Sunday when they host Dallas - a team that is really rolling right now. Dallas is 8-0-2 in last 10, and have won 7 consecutive games.

Minnesota play tomorrow in Long Island. Flames will have two games in hand.

BUT, that same win now puts them 5 points behind Minny, with a game in hand and a game against Minny to go. If they win their game in hand and beat Minny, that puts them at 1 point behind Minny, with 5 games to catch them. They have gained 3 points on Minny in the last 10 games. It's within the realm of possibility they gain 2 points on them over the last 5 games. And then we'd pick 18th or 19th overall if the Flames don't make the conference finals.

It is still far from a sure thing we'll pick 13th to 16th.

It's way closer than I'd like. Minny haven't been playing well. Lost last night to the Islanders.

they're game against Calgary will be huge. They play Dallas on Sunday. But other than that, their schedule is SJ, Anaheim, Vancouver.

After the game in hand with Vegas, Calgary will play against San Jose 2 times and Anaheim again. If they beat Minnesota, they can make the playoffs.

If they pull all that off, you probably have to tip your hat to them. Still a tough climb to have everything fall into place.

Haha! Nothing to worry about. These Flames have had a solid season but they aren't the Panthers from two years ago who had a so-so regular season that saw them go to the Final after a Presidents Trophy season and before a Cup winning season.

I has sure Calgary would draft in the top 10. Now they are very close to making it. The best draft pick for Calgary now is 14-16.

They are 1-4-2 in their last 7 games though and they play Dallas today. The good thing is they still play San Jose, Vancouver, and Anaheim in their remaining 5 games. Their match-up against Calgary on Friday may be the deciding game between the two.

The one good thing is Minnesota holds the tie break.
