Boston is shyte. They lost to SJ. They will be one team that Calgary finishes ahead of.

In the meantime, feel free to join our Discord ServerDon't teams 11-16 only move up one spot if they win the lottery. If so if Calgary was 12th the pick goes to the Habs.Honestly I’d probably rather cheer for the flames to finish 16th or 17th instead of risk having them win the lottery at 12 or 13 overall and take the pick away
at this point I'm definitely rooting for the Flames to lose, but not too much, so they don't make the playoffs. They would have to have quite a collapse (like Detroit and Columbus have just had) to fall into the bottom 10. And a current bottom 10 team would have to do well.It hard to pick between them missing the playoffs and risk winning the lottery and them making the playoffs and risk them making a run… both are low chance but with our luck…
They move up 10 spots max. if I remember correctly. If they are 12th and win the lottery, they would pick 2nd.Don't teams 11-16 only move up one spot if they win the lottery. If so if Calgary was 12th the pick goes to the Habs.
I agree with you up until their tecent 3g win streak.. i dont think they have tank in them even if Wolf goes down.. i think they go .500 thr test of the way and gonish 13th. So long as they dont win the lottery, that is a fantabulous pick in that crazy contract, best possible outcome.. and we deserve it in lieu of the Panthers 2 years ago luck run that cost us a 16thoaUI called this The Florida Troll Job in reverse months ago. It won't be hard for Calgary to sink if they find themselves out of it. Wolf just has to stub his toe.
Uve clearly never played rouletteHonestly I’d probably rather cheer for the flames to finish 16th or 17th instead of risk having them win the lottery at 12 or 13 overall and take the pick away
To make things easier, just vote for STL or VAN to nab that final WC2Teams I'm rooting against, that is to lose as much as possible, so the Flames pick stays out of the bottom 10:
West: San Jose, Chicago, Nashville, Seattle, Anaheim (9 points back and Flames have a game in hand)
East: Buffalo, Philly, Pittsburgh, Boston, Detroit (7 points back, same number of games played)
Teams I'm rooting for to pass the Flames so our pick is as close as possible to 11th:
Utah, Vancouver, St. Louis, NYI, Rangers (as long as they don't pass us)
Buffer team that it would be good if they didn't pass the Flames in case something goes wrong with the current bottom 10: Columbus.
That would put the pick between 11th and 16th, assuming the Flames don't collapse - which still could happen. Or, if they fall too far behind the 8th and final spot, they could start to tank. But both of those scenarios seem unlikely. The players are giving it their all to make it and are in poke position. But those Blues are really coming on. We'll see why on Tuesday. To make things easier, just vote for STL or VAN to nab that final WC2
kinda happy the flames just won. They were getting too close to bottom 10. And St. Louis looks like they'll take the 8th spot.Calgary did have a 3-2 lead, but Seattle scores with 90 seconds to tie it.
It's going to OT.
The best part of that win , it makes the canucks next game a must win , and that happens to be against the islanders tonightKadri scores in OT. Calgary wins 4-3.
They move to within 4 points of St. Louis with 3 games in hand. They also jump Vancouver into 9th & move 7 pts up on 10th place Detroit.
But man, the Flames are only 5 points ahead of Detroit for the last bottom 10 spot.
It's definitely not a sure thing they'll finish out of the bottom 10.
Flames are playing well too. They don't have a lot of scoring but they play hard and usually outshoot their opponents. It's pretty sure.. there's ~10 games left for teams. There's a number of teams between Calgary and Detroit. It would take multiple teams between Calgary and Detroit to win 3 more games than the Flames over a 10 game stretch. That's really really hard to do.

With all the games in hand they have on other teams, their games will likely be meaningful right to the end.
While I agree with you , I learned to keep my mouth shut on that , with what Florida did 2 years ago …. Still can’t forget the pens losing to the hawks !!! That was the difference between a lottery pick and the 31st aka as newhookIt's pretty sure.. there's ~10 games left for teams. There's a number of teams between Calgary and Detroit. It's more about keeping them out of the playoffs than them falling into the bottom 10 at this point.
