Noticeables:

* we can't win key FOs
* Hanley was very smooth, deserves more TOI
* Kadri is boardline shit
* team has no talent apart from Zary
* Sharky stays hot
* Rooney- the puck ends on his stick 8/10
* to be benched- Rooney, Kuzmenko

PS: Vladar was decent (awful on the first goal)

Hopefully we'll be tied for the 8th playoff seed at the end of the year, but lose a tie breaker, so we can draft 16th as usual.
This point will probably f*** us hard lol.

Need more positive thinking. The goal is to piss off Montreal. Playoffs is just icing on the cake.

Giving Montreal a pick starting with a 2 would be pure success for this season.

You guys can't be serious..... the guy jumps on the ice for a change and the guy he is switching with is in the middle of the ice 10 feet inside his blue line in his own end on the long change. He's a good 50 feet away. Even the closer guy is still 30 feet away. They cheated to save the breakaway.

Uh, none of us are saying the call was bullshit. And it didn't seem like the players were 30 and 50... But I'd have to check replay again.

We were saying it's a rough call because it's a crappy way to lose.

Is it an incorrect call? No. Teams usually get away with it though.

Losing this way basically feels like getting a ticket for running a yellow light.

Ok that's actually pretty egregious lol

Not a very good effort from the Flames, Wings weren't a whole lot better. Had trouble breaking out, had trouble getting speed through the NZ, had trouble maintaining any pressure in the OZ, and had trouble generating any quality chances. This whole we'll start playing in the 3rd is not a recipe for success. Got a pt I guess.

This is exactly when I would sit a couple guys and call up some Wranglers. If you lack talent you gotta be hungry in this league and the Flames weren't hungry enough tonight. At the very least get Klapka in for the next one.

Until this specific frame, I had a hard timing finding something more definitive. NHL app recap and condensed don't have it. This frame is pretty black and white though. Absolutely a valid call.

@TS Quint you're right. Our guys were like 30 and 50 ft out.

The linesman made a ballsy call and I respect it. Wasn't anywhere near the puck, but Andersson was back in defensive position affecting how the Wings rushed the puck before Weegar had even gotten past the red line. Have to draw the line somewhere.

I’d say it was a penalty. Anyways we played two desperate teams and ran into penalty trouble both games. Offence needs to start clicking but sitting guys out won’t really work if you’re bringing in 4th liners. Its a tough league; just keep at it with your starters, not much else can be done.

Safe to say Weegar didn't impress the Team Canada management in attendance at this game. Multiple turnovers and defensive mishaps, and the lazy glide back to the bench in OT to end it.

I hate when that's called a penalty but I hate it more when players don't bust their ass getting off the ice.

It’s just weird that they didn’t blow down the play until the Wings turned it over at the blue line. Usually with too many men the ref stops the play immediately. Don’t disagree with the call though. The team was ass again.
