Wolf is a franchise goalie. I really hope we sign him 8x8 this summer

The Xenforo guys are based in London and our top admins Mexico from my understanding. A nightmare to deal with when major issues happen due to time zones.
I’ve always wondered, who “owns” HF? I know the actually Hockeys Future blog is no longer a thing, what about the forum?

Not sure who it is, @Fenway mentioned that its a guy based in California. We all are hoping him and is family are okay due to the fires.

Coronato is 3rd on the team in points, on one hand good for Coronato and his development, but bad for the Flames as he's only got 23 in 41 games. There is no reason this team should be even close to sniffing a playoff spot but we are, Wolf has been Him this year.

Is Kaiser a guy we wished to draft in the Boltmann draft? Why is that name seem so familiar?

Its funny because statistically the team isn’t even really over performing. Like they have one of the worse goal differentials below expected in the league. They don’t generate a lot of offense and they can’t really score but defensively they’ve been solid even though Vladar is having a rough year

Really it’s mostly surprising because on paper they shouldn’t be this good. Huska has done a fantastic job. Penalty kill needs fixing though

Yeah, I saw something the other day that after the first week, most of our wins have come with us scoring 2 goals or less. Hard to blame Vladar on that if he has to play like a legitimate starter to get wins. Even if he's had a couple bad games, he's been really good overall this season.

I'm writing a post on the main forum talking up Wolf and I knew we were bad offensively, but before the big outpouring of 5 goals tonight the Flames were 30th in the league for goals scored.

Chicago and San Jose were both above us (now below), Nashville the only team significantly worse (they have 101, we're at 115).

Wolf has us in a playoff spot, the guy should not only walk away with the Calder but should be in the MVP conversation (not necessary a finalist but a few 5th place votes).

Wolf is 15-6-1, Vladar is 6-8-5. Wolf is the sole reason why we're as high up in the standings are we are. Defensively we aren't total shit either which helps.

The Hawks completely gave up in this third period. That effort is what happens when you’re stuck in a rebuild for too long

They didn't even bother showing up for the game right before Christmas either. After the Blues put some goals up on them in the Winter Classic they also stopped playing. They have no leadership at all and they're coach is a bum. They aren't even that far into the re-build, they only got Bedard two years ago, their leadership group is known loser Taylor Hall, scrub bum Maroon, their captain is bum Foligno and then they bring in goofballs like Bertuzzi. Chicago is going to be a dumpster fire for a loooooong time.

They have 3 shots this period. Bedard won't see the playoffs until he's in his late 20's.

I like the guy but he ranks 66th among eligible goalies in goals saved above expected this year. I imagine a good chunk of that can be attributed to a god awful PK but even if you prefer the classic goalie stats his GAA is over 3 and his save percentage is in the .880s

He has not been good imo

I thought it was so weird when they signed Perry to a 1x4. I have no idea what their plan is. Their coaching hires since Quenneville have been extremely questionable. It’s like their owners are cheaping out… bizarre

Hawks need some more vets who set a standard of losing isn’t acceptable. They are another example of how burning it to the ground creates a culture that’s hard to shake.
