Hawks need some more vets who set a standard of losing isn’t acceptable. They are another example of how burning it to the ground creates a culture that’s hard to shake.

When your leadership includes guys like Maroon who can barely skate at a beer league level I don't know what you expect. Oh but we won 3 cups, yeah and Dave Semenko also won 2 with Gretzky. Captain is Foligno who has always been a bottom 6 guy. How are you supposed to inspire your team when you go out there and perform like buns. Why should a talent like Bedard respect or look up to you?

Meanwhile Flames have guys like Backlund and Ras to look up to who show up every night and say what you want about Backlund being a middle 6 guy or what ever, but the rookies always start their Flames tenure with him and learn the game and become better players with him.

That was an impressive debut from Kerins, and a fun game to watch overall with the youth making a big impact. Love to see it!

He's 7-1-1 in his last 9, the 3 prior are all losses which would make it 7-4-1 (it's ok though he was 5-0-1 in the previous 6 to those 3 losses).
I didn't see that prime graphic right, you're correct. That's still insane. He should move into a starters' workload now in the second half of the season. Give him at least 24/25 games of the last 40

No reason not to give Kerins an extended look..

And if he proves himself in a 9 game stint might as well make him a regular, flames need all the offensive talent they can get if they are really serious about making the POs.

Also, I wouldn't be opposed to putting Coronato on the top line.. give Huberdeau a pure shooter with Kadri being the puck carrier.

Them again, I don't wanna fix what isn't broke.

Yeah, I saw something the other day that after the first week, most of our wins have come with us scoring 2 goals or less. Hard to blame Vladar on that if he has to play like a legitimate starter to get wins. Even if he's had a couple bad games, he's been really good overall this season.
The stat you probably read would be most of our wins come with our goalies allowing 2 or less. After the first week, we have 3 wins scoring 2 or less goals, 13 scoring 3 or more.

Also sneaky stat, Pelletier just lead our forwards in ice time tonight. Talk about getting rewarded for his night.
