f*** man if Huberdeau is worth 10M, Gaudreau is worth 20M ….at least based on his performance in Calgary

Huberdeau is a f***ing joke. He is Ritchie/Lewis level

The brutal turnover aside, why was Vladar belly-flopping on that Berniers goal?

$8.2mil soon to be tied in goalies who are routinely outplayed by the likes of Smith, Skinner and Daccord.

They said it was not his fault

Lol he was part of the problem just like Markstrom in the Edmonton game. Not all his but a big chunk is

I love your hyperbole lol. Makes me feel like I’m level headed around here :)

Signing Huberdeau to amonster contract after his 115 point season while he had one year left sits on the pedestal of genius 4D chess moves right next to Nurse's monster contract after he feasted on a weak Canadian covid division while he also had a year left.

For me it's all this coupled with Edmonton having their Gretz #2 and whatever Drais is in Edmonchuk lore. That's just too much vinegar on our wounds down here. I can hardly stomach the thought of another 10-15 years McDufus doing what he did tonight, last game against us and what he's done all season so far. I'm a very reluctant believer in any new superstar but I'm finally there in believing Connor Mcstinkypants could legit be better than ol Waynermcpoopyundies. It's almost unbearable. Makes me legit want our team to tank for as long as it takes to get a generational/league history great like they get every few decades.

I can’t see the future, but I’m willing to bet McDavid is on another team before the age of 30…if that makes you feel better.

Boy oh boy that was a bad game

Looked good until it was 4-2 and then completely stopped playing. Yikes.

Bag skate em, Darryl

Time to call up Brett Sutter
I bet he’ll outplay huberdeau

That’s what happened when you don’t watch the player and just watching stats and have no serious pro scouting

You will find I am closer to reality than most

Dude’s best asset is some stupid spin around pass that nobody on the team can take advantage
Can’t skate, can’t carry the puck. Can barely shoot if he shoots at all

Hey Folks. Let's keep in mind that Johhny Gaudreau had just 2 points in his first 8 games under Sutter. It's a massive adjustment and it takes time. Things will start to click for Huberdeau. He's far too skilled and smart not to adapt.

literally every year I tell you guys to not judge or overreact about the first 10-20 games and every year you do it

It's hard to keep that perspective after what we witnessed in the third period last night - but you are correct. We were a 4 minute span away from being 6-2.

Even at our worst we still dominated possession, shot attempts, scoring chances, etc..

The schedule to start the year isn't doing us any favors. This team has spent an entire month in Calgary (with a 1 day excursion to Edmonton), and had just 2 games played in the last 8 days. This all comes with the hardest strength of schedule to date as well. They need to just get out of town and simply get into the groove of playing hockey.

Hopefully you are right

But even Sutter has started to agree Huberdeau is underperforming . He needs to get going quick. Nothing he does so far look like a star except for a few fancy passes.

A veteran of 10 years should not take that long to adjust.

When Johnny struggled, you could still see the skills

I see it as a team who is playing like shit but is still dominating teams for the most part. That’s not reason for concern it’s reason for optimism.
