70/30 he is in my mind. Not sure why the Flames would be horny to sign an extension, and not sure why he would want to stick around.

He just gave the guy who had the biggest point drop in NHL history 84 million dollars and his prized UFA signing that he traded away fan favourite Sean Monahan AND a 1st rd pick to sign has been phoning it in since Christmas.

Personally just don't see how you can let that roll.

Zad has had a really good season

Might be his best season yet.

Not often you have a defenseman that scores more than they assist in a season. Previous career high of 7 goals, currently has a Statline of 13/7.

I thought Zad's career here started off poorly. All he seemed to be was a slow penalty machine. But he came on toward the end of last year even though he took a few too many penalties in the playoffs last year. I'd say the last 2/3 of this season he's been great.
