Honestly if there is one guy who I would put my money on to mentally cope with this aberration of luck it would be Comrie. What the kid lacks in god given size and talent he seems to make up for mentally. I think he is a natural battler.

He has to know he is facing the worst run of luck/run support. He will be ready for next game and I expect him to keep playing good enough.

Honestly he seems like a guy who wakes up every morning and says HOLY SHIT I GET TO BE AN NHL GOALIE TODAY! and just has a shit eating grin on his face all day.

Really positive guy - and with both his older brothers having played in the NHL and wealthy parents it's kind of rare that he wouldn't act entitled.

Really good guy in my mind. He's so nerdy too which I think the guys get a kick out of.

Yup spot on to the bolded

One of my favorite interviews with him was him talking in a hilarious deadpan way about how Scheifele calls him a sandbagger in golf. He went into detail about Mark being a 1 cap and he is a 5 cap and Mark complaining about Eric always having a magically good day when he plays Schiefele. My set up of this story sucks but if you saw Comrie recounting it with just a twinge of Cheshire Cat smirk it was comedy gold. I instantly saw why guys would like to be around him.

I didn’t see anyone mention it, but didn’t the first flames goal deflect off of Pionk? Pionk even put up his arms and looked up at the sky, cause he knew it hit him. It wasn’t an easy straight in shot.
Yup, you could tell immediately by Pionk's reaction on the first goal that it glanced off him and changed direction

2nd goal was post and in from the slot from a guy who can fire a puck

I’m starting to wonder if Comrie is in net, are they more concerned with defending then with Helly in net? I don’t know why he can’t get the run support when he starts.

I think it's just luck. We certainly got our chances vs Calgary.

So weird that there was a post last night bout the problem with the 1st line is their plus minus as if a puck deflecting off our player is a problem with the line.,
Hockey happens. I think I’m just as bad, but, sometimes no one is at fault for a goal against.

Ouch, little hungover today, small headache, guess only 3 hours sleep doesn't help. Jets outplayed Calgary big time and got goalied ,going to happen once in a while in a 82 game schedule. If the Jets got outplayed and lost i would be mad but that wasn't nearly the case. Jets will win alot of games playing like that so on to the next game when we score 7 goals. Now time for a nap .

That Flame wasn't his guy (not that anyone is anyone's "guy" on a PK)

Where was the high F on that side? Why isn't he getting any heat? He's the guy that should have been out there to contest that shot

Edit:

I hate you break it to everyone, but Stan was in perfect position on that play. Lowry was the guy out of position, partially because #4 ran a bit of a pick on him

People are blaming Stanley because he didn't leave the man in front of the net and go chase a guy 90 feet behind the play. It's unreal the irrational hate Stanley gets. Too many people have SDS, Stanley Derangement Syndrome.
