Crazy how Florida went from a perennial joke to a model franchise.
On most teams he'd be a 2nd line center by now. Love the signing and I know he's just going to improve from this year.Great player & was low key a very solid playoff contributer too. He's basically been as advertised leading up to his Draft year. A good 2 way center who can still possibly be a top line center in a dee years. Right now he is a luxury to play on the 3rd line but is basically a 2nd line center right now ?
Great contract.
to think we couldve gone from perennial joke to perennial clown show in one game a couple weeks agoCrazy how Florida went from a perennial joke to a model franchise.
Difference is ownership. One couldn't get tf out of his own way and placed internal caps on the team; the others are smart, willing to spend, invested in the community; and hired an elite GM who knows how to find value, listen to his scouts, and both when to cut ties and when to bring guys back.Crazy how Florida went from a perennial joke to a model franchise.

Still have 20ish million for next yearWow big contract... almost like a Kotkaniemi one... they must think he will be taking big steps in the coming years. Don't they need that cap for their blueline after losing Monty and with Ekblad a UFA next year?
Those two contracts are similar in that both players are young and from Finland and that is about it lolWow big contract... almost like a Kotkaniemi one... they must think he will be taking big steps in the coming years. Lundell is definitely smarter and a stronger two-way player. Those two contracts are similar in that both players are young and from Finland and that is about it lol

They’re not remotely the same player. Lundell is great defensively and doesn’t cheat for offense. People have called him out for his “lack of offense” and have been impatient with him because of it. We all want high scoring forwards, but to be frustrated with him imo lacks understanding of his game, imo.Wow big contract... almost like a Kotkaniemi one... they must think he will be taking big steps in the coming years. 5m for a 3C? Not saying it's bad, but it's not a home run either
