Bruins did what they had to do and got a pick. His expected salary for that term would have been an anchor given his age, injuries and mileage. It was time to make big changes and it was never going to easy. They got younger, faster and have a lot of cap to spend next year.
Eh. I wouldn’t give it much thought. Once he suits up and plays, goes through all the motions with his new team, I assume his attitude will have shifted and he will be all in with Florida.

We don't have the room for him though if we also want to re-sign Bennett and Ek. And according to Friedman, things are looking good on the re-signing Bennett front. Unless he just accepts a real low-ball deal like around 3M .

I was just quoting somebody commenting on how he was still speaking to media as if he were still on the Bruins, and giving my opinion that once he’s actually involved with the Panthers he will show it more
