Confirmed Trade: [FLA/BOS] Brad Marchand for cond. 2027/28 1st/2nd round pick

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.
    • Our 2025 light and dark themes were lost, so we are rebuilding them. Light theme is currently available, but work in progress

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

Imagine roles were reversed, Florida lost to Boston twice in a row, then Barkov says he wants to join Boston

Pretty sure your reaction would be a little different.

Now obviously it's a little different situation given Marchand is near the end of his career and Barkovs in his prime. But it's still pathetic, captain of an Original 6 franchise and you want to go play for the team that eliminated you in back to back years and are the defending champs ? lol
I wouldn’t like it, but I’d get it. Says a lot of what he thinks about the team having experienced the other side.

Man cant believe the Bruins wouldnt offer more than $3M AAV for 2 years. That cant be right can it ? Thats just over $100000 more than Habs signed a 4C. Like frig.

Marchy is almost 38 it's ok for a trade at this stage . Getting a possible 1st round pick for a concussed player is right value.
Don, don't age him another year. He'll be 37 in May :)

Won't be surprised to see Marchy back in Boston July 1. Let both sides cool off a bit, see where the Bruins end up and what the cap is going up to. B's have a few guys who need new deals, specifically Geekie and Joker. After you lock them up, you can revive talks with Marchy.

He’s still saying “we” when asked a question about the Broons

I'm in but no long term and high aav we already have a problem with elias deal.

Bruins did what they had to do and got a pick. His expected salary for that term would have been an anchor given his age, injuries and mileage. It was time to make big changes and it was never going to easy. They got younger, faster and have a lot of cap to spend next year.
