All risk aside, I loved the Faulk fight. I can't stand Lupul.

Neither can I. I realize he's a great story 'cause of his perseverance through injuries and all that jive, but I think he's dirty. Especially that hit on Eaves in the Winter Classic.

Just a reminder that you have the GDT for tonight.

Oh crap, you're right. Completely forgot since I don't usually take the second leg of a back-to-back during the week (doesn't leave much time to create one). Thanks for the reminder.

I'll start a placeholder and update it as time allows later today.

I got the JC. Never lets me down.

did u recently escape a #brushfire in a #cornfield???

This seems like the most appropriate place to post this. Last night I had a dream I was a pilot flying some guys out to a lake in the middle of the wilderness. They were going fishing in Ontario. The bearded guy in the flannel shirt was there.

Toronto looked terrible, but I still enjoyed watching the Canes score 6 goals.

J. Staal looked really good.

Even though Skinner scored, he turned the puck over a couple times and didnt play that well IMO.

Gleason looked really sad on the bench.

I liked seeing Liles talking some knowledge to Murphy.

It sounds like you were dreaming the dream, but now you need to live the dream, my friend. Go fishing in Ontario.

Well, after seeing that game--anyone bagging on E. Staal's leadership can't say he's the worst captain in the league after watching Phaneuf...he just has zero (said with a zed) hockey sense. But it was nice of Dion to doze off on the PP and give the puck to Jordan for the goal. Maybe he was dreaming of phishing in Ontario since he wasn't there?

And what kind of defense does a team have when Gleason is the by far, best positional d-man on your team?

Hey, it kinda slipped my mind, too, but nobody has mentioned the team coming together at center ice and saluting the fans after last night's game. I thought it was nice, but it was also kinda weird to start something like that *without* Eric Staal on the ice. It *appeared* to me that Manny Malhotra -- and maybe Patrick Dwyer -- was the driving force behind it. What did you guys think?

My daughter noticed this and was thrilled. It's always bothered her that Canes don't do this. Of course she was totally mystified about why it started last night so we're looking for an answer there. Glad to see them do this, though
