I always argue for Connors in our polls because I have considered him a virtual lock for the NHL, Kings or elsewhere. His style of play is always welcome in the league.

Others are more talented and in higher positions on the team sheet, but less likely to ever make it.

I wouldn't bet on Ziemmer making it.

I like Connors a lot. He's an incredibly well-rounded player who puts in a lot of effort.

I still hold out hope for Ziemmer. I think he needed to learn about the importance of fitness. Even if he doesn't top out as an offensive threat, he can still be a good bottom-six player.

As a Caps fan I check out Windsor stuff to see Ilya Protas, and I have to say you guys seem to have an absolute gem in Greentree. Those two together are just monstrous, I think he’s going to do really well for the Kings as soon as next year.

It was a joke, since some people who like to lob the "stat-watcher" label in some instances are strangely the same ones to post the same exact stats in other instances. Wonder what's different?

I am very excited for this prospect, and usually statistics and comparison to other players in the past in the same league are the best measure to judge a players offensive game. I don't think it will be good for his development to send him back to the OHL next season. Even if it's a limited 4th line role, playing NHL games and getting used to the NHL life is going to be better than going down the stupid Brandt Clarke path.

But honestly, yes you would assume so. It should be the first step in him hopefully making the Kings next season. A player who is a superstar in junior usually steps in and is a very good player in the AHL, even as an underage player, so it should help their Calder Cup run.

It would be a huge step for Greentree to arrive in Ontario for the Reign's playoff run and continue to produce and dominate. Big test against grown men and professional goaltenders to see where he is in his development. Best case scenario: Reign go on a monthlong run in the playoffs, and Greentree goes point-per-game.

It would give him big energy going into the Kings' training camp.

Haven't paid one minute of attention to the Reign this season, it might very well change if Greentree do join the Reign.

Greentree been amazing, but hes a big kid playing in a young league. Seen guys like Laf dominate using size/strength and then not being able to directly translate his game to the NHL when it wasnt as big a advantage. Not that he has to lay people out to score but it makes a difference in positioning, reach, just taking up space on the ice and blocking people out, skills that still matter in the NHL but dont go as far. No doubt he will be an NHL player, it's just the expectation I question all be it based on an amazing season in the OHL. If he were better skater and more agile I'd have a bit more faith. Not that he's terrible his movement is good. But yea guess will see.
