Nice win fellows. I hate the Rangers and their fans, so I'm glad you wiped their smug smiles off their faces, even if it is temporarily. I hope you get the sweep tomorrow. Best of wishes. Oh, also, I hope Lupul comes back soon, like this Sunday. (wink)

That checking line is beastly!

Kulemin-McClement-Komarov.. so much money. One of the best checking lines we've had in quite a bit now.

Keep it as:
Jvr-Bozak-Kessel
Mac-Kadri-Frattin
Kule-McClement-Komarov
Orr-Grabo-McLaren

with Lupul replacing Frattin when he comes back.

Last night was the 12th win this season in a one-goal game (excluding shootouts) for the Leafs. Only Chicago has more. (From Cox)

We are right up there in ROW, G/G, our GA/G could improve and so could our 3rd period play but we still do good at protecting leads going into the 3rd.

Not bad. We score a lot of goals. :naughty:

Third period, Kulemin drilled a Rangers player in front of the Rangers bench and lead to a 2 on 1 with Kadri and another player I forget where we didn't get a shot on net.

Does anyone remember this hit? Any chance theres a video out somewhere?

Huge hit that went unnoticed by the commentators.

We needed that, as we are slumping thank you Kessel for a Ranger regulation loss to the Leafs.

The Leafs have all the scoring in the world it seems, guys that can make plays and score goals. I watched the 3rd and they gave me heart attacks...I feel for you guys. Komarov with no one behind him tries to play soccer on Stepan's goal. That mad scramble at the end. The Leafs are a contender in the East for sure and with Crosby and Neal and Letang out of the Pens lineup, Bergeron a huge cog out of the Bruins lineup, the East suddenly looks more wide open.

Injuries right now are turning things upside down in the East.

It's at the tail-end of the video after the goal.

Richards played last night? You can take that as a joke but I'm being serious...I can't recall once noticing him on the ice and it isn't until you pointed him out that I realize that I hadn't even noticed if he was playing last night.

Nevermind Richards. Gaborik was literally invisible. Again.

Gotta give Kulemin props for that hit after Kessel's 2nd goal, that was dope. Bowen didn't pick it up because he was too busy screwing up the call on Phil's goal. Led to a wicked turnover. He's fun to watch.

nice game from the top line. Kessel is always good but Bozie and jVR really stepped it up in this one. This might have been JVR's best game as a leaf - skating, creating turnovers, making plays, and going hard to the net. Need to see more games like that from him.

O'Byrne played pretty well in his debut, too.

But Randy is starting to lean too heavily on Fraser-Franson - both of them played 20+ minutes in this one and it's beginning to look like Randy considers them his 2nd pairing.....and I don't think they're good enough to be a 2nd pairing.

JVR is playing well for few games now. He lost it for a while, but RC probably showed him tapes of how he played when he was successful.

RC perhaps wants to give other D rest and reward these two for good play so far.
