Guhle will compete for the Calder, looks like a future #1D

Slafkovsky is raw but doesn’t look lost, likely needs some time in the AHL. Noticeably improves every game. Has sky high potential.

Kaiden Guhle is insanely good. Never thought he would blossom so quickly especially offensively. Its hard not to get excited, he might have a Seider-like season.

Harris is very good, probably not a top pair D but a solid NHL player. Better Brett Kulak.

Xhekaj is good but very raw. The upside is there for the top 4 but he will need time in the AHL.

Slafkovsky is very talented but he is not even close to NHL-ready. It would be a mistake to have him play more than 9 games.

As mentioned above, Guhle has been a revelation. Most fans thought he had second pair potential with maybe if everything goes great, he could be first pair. But still unlikely…

After four games, he’s surpassed all expectations. He had highest TOI in most games so far and held Crosby, Matthews and Ovechkin to one tip in goal.

Take a look at this highlight package….this is from ONE game. ONE. GAME!!

You sound like a CEO whining about decrease in profit when the profit is 5 billions.

Avs don't look that great this year. Their top prospects of yesteryear like Byram have graduated. Newhook hasn't looked good at all, Ben Meyers was sent down today, and players in the AHL like Kaut and Bowers are just that....in the AHL. With the cap crunch there is simply no depth.

Ya but you just won the cup and have like 18 top 15 players, youll be fine.

For the Stars:

Wyatt Johnston - has looked very solid, but still needs to gain quite a bit more strength to really showcase his abilities at this level. He's such a quick learner tho and so smart that he is getting by just fine in his 3C role. Even saw some PK time last night in the 3rd period. DeBoer trusts him a lott and the ice time he gets shows it. Probably gonna be tough for him to pick up a lot of points at even strength given the fact that his linemates (Benn & Gurianov) are one and done type players when it comes to offensive chances. No possession time and Johnston isn't strong enough yet to possess the puck as much as he did in the OHL so that line doesn't get much sustained zone time, but on the PP it's a different story. Should definitely pick up some PP points this season and he is being trusted as the entry guy for the Stars very solid 2nd PP unit. Will be interesting to see if the Stars keep him past 9 games, but they should.

Ty Dellandrea (not technically a rookie I don't think but close enough) - He has looked like a pretty good fit on the Stars 2nd line alongside Seguin & Marchment. First 2 games he was just good, but last night he was fantastic. Setup Seguin with a beautiful no-look backhand pass for the Stars first goal and setup and had multiple chances after that. He's gonna be a pest to play against and his line looks really good.

Nils Lundkvist - Another guy who has been very good. Very early indications have me thinking he is a fantastic acquisition by Nill. Excellent puck mover and has a wicked shot. Hasn't had an opportunity to use that shot yet tho in the regular season but he's the one timer option on that 2nd PP unit so itll come. Had a nice assist in game 1. Stars really needed him back there. He's surprisingly good defensively too, I didn't expect that. Very smart player

Holtz is doing good, I just don't think he's being deployed correctly as he's being more of a playmaker then a sniper.

don't have any
Kravtsov is a rookie.

To be considered a rookie, a player must not have played in more than 25 NHL games in any preceding seasons, nor in six or more NHL games in each of any two preceding seasons. Any player at least 26 years of age (by September 15th of that season) is not considered a rookie.

Kravtsov played 20 games 2 years ago and none last year.

Thus far, he has only played 1:28, as he got hurt early in the 1st game. So the jury is still out. Hopefully he can come back soon and get into a groove on the 3rd line.

Robin Salo had a rough game vs FLA, but followed it up with 2G vs ANA. Definitely looks like a fixture on the Isles d for years to come.

Kuzmenko looks great so far. Very shifty, with a sneaky good wrist shot. Has very good speed, and looks great so far on a line with Pettersson. Could be a perennial 60 point player.

Worried that he will be out of reach for the Canucks by the time they try to resign him. At this point would rather him over Boeser.

Jake Neighbours looked very solid in a 3rd line role in the (*checks notes*) ONE GAME the Blues have played so far. Scored a nice goal, did well at the little things etc.
