Which I get but what are we gonna flip him for at this point. The Avs aren’t in a position of strength here. It would have to be a struggling player for struggling player trade unless a bottom feeder is looking for someone like him.Look, I'm not taking the responsibility off of Mitts' shoulders but he didn't all of a sudden become a bad hockey player.
When you're clearly in the doghouse every shift has added pressure and instead of just playing hockey, you get into your head over every play. Mitts needs to be mentally stronger to work through that but it's pretty clear whats going on. His talent didn't disappear, he's just more of a cerebral player that doesn't fit Bednar's system
