Can't believe how long the PP has been this horrendous. Even on the Wheeler goal vs Boston they only had the puck in the zone for about 5 seconds before the goal. IMO specialty teams is really where coaching comes in. At what point is the Jokinen as PP QB theory scrapped and the best 5 guys put on the ice as the #1 PP unit? Time for Bogo and Byfuglien to start the PP together.

Inexcusable, which ever coach is looking after the PP needs to be held accountable and pay the price. YOUR FIRED!

Terrible coach got schooled by HOF player. Not sure how Oates coaching career will turn out but he clearly understand the game unlike Noel

P.S A guy in Bruins jersey at MTSC yells on Jets bench is fantastic
P.S2 Goal scored by big Buff was assisted by big Buff according to CBC is golden

Well at the very least, I have to admit when I'm wrong. I chimed in at the first intermission and claimed it wasn't that bad. I was very wrong. That was embarrassing.

I'll say this though; it's never as good as it seems and it's never as bad as it seems.

Win the next 2 and they'll be back on top of the world.

I've been a Noel fan but lately he seems short on answers and is maybe not the right coach for this team. Think you need a Sutter coaching here who doesn't tolerate a team taking three games in a row off.

Worst Jets game I've ever seen.

How many times have people said this very statement this year? :sarcasm:

In all seriousness, I don't understand how this team can bring down top seed teams like Boston, yet fail miserably against weak teams like Washington. Something doesn't jive here.

I know that people have been saying that this team has "turned a corner" or "bought into Noel's system" or things like that, however if that were true, we would not have outcomes like this as often as we do. To me, this show that this team really hasn't turned much of a corner at all, or not enough of a corner to say that we have come much further than last year overall, despite what the standings say.

We are still too consistently inconsistent, and this will continue to hurt our bottom line as a competitive team.

We played terrible. But how often are we going to let in 6 goals on 24 shots?

Were 6-3-1 in our last 10. Yes this back to back was ****, but I'm not going to get worried until I see how they come out against Tampa.

Season goal differential and fenwick exposes this team as overachieving to get into this position.

I'm pessimistic. Anticipating a slide outside of the playoff picture to the bubble.

I hate to draw up excuses but the boys are beat up and tired. They really are and its quite evident. Toronto that game at night, going into to Ottawa middle of the night early game (seriously who thought that one up?), trucking it back to Winnipeg to play an extremely physical team in the bruins, then like 1 real day later they play a team back to back.

We have played 11 games since the 5th, that a game every second day. You add a ton of travel to that, and you get this result the best thing Noel could do, beside get rid of Wellwood and increase Burmi's ice time and take forwards off the point......is just let the guys rest. Do film and crap for like a week.

Playing NHL hockey every second day has to be horribly punishing. Add our Pejorative Slured travel to that package and you have to beat your fatigue along with another team every night.

What a crappy effort. Not a good sign that we win games by 1 or 2 goals and when we lose, we lose by 3+ goals. At least the game started early enough to not cut into a promising Friday night. And the Jets are still 1st in the SE. They played some excellent hockey to get themselves into that position.

Not good excuses, because every team has to deal with that. It's not a long trek from Toronto to Ontario. You can't use the emotion of the last game as an excuse to lose every other game.

Washington also played 11 games since the 5th. They had back-to-back games on Saturday and Sunday before travelling to Pittsburgh and losing on Tuesday in an tough 'emotional' loss. Then they flew here and whipped us twice in back-to-backs. We played the Bruins at home on Tuesday, while they played the Pens and lost and then flew here. We were the better-rested team.

Travel fatigue not an excuse for this kind of beating.
