Exactly. Go back and reread. I wasnt the one praising him
Nuance is lost on a lot of HF Oilers.
Buts its really kinda comical that you have a career AHL goalie/marginal NHL backup (basically) and a #78 overall pick goalie (that somehow made his way to the NHL ) who is very, very limited athletically (but was a Calder finalist with Schwartz as goalie coach) as Oilers goalies and its the goalie coach who is at fault when those guys are no good!!
Just f'ing comical.
Edit- Schwartz is absolutely brutal in the 2nd period., Hes gotta be better.
Edit #2- Thank god Schwartz got it together for the 3rd

Their goalie coach excused himself in the summer and changed his positon lol. Ian Clark is not the goalie coach anymore. Something is off there. I heard he is not happy. So that doesn't mesh with what you are saying about Silovs. Somebody else is coaching him.
He was canned as goalie cioach for all intents and purposes. Apparently his style/methodology of goalie coaching puts a ton of stress physically on a goalie.
Which may be ok for some. Apparently the theory goes not so good for others.

Schwartz has three goalies around the league who he is credited with “developing” from their teen years to the NHL: Skinner, Jarry, and Hart. He worked/works with all three in the summer even when they played elsewhere.

Jarry this year- 5.47 GAA, 0.836 Sv%, had to be demoted to the AHL to get his game right

Skinner this year- 3.25 GAA, 0.885 Sv%

Hart last year- 2.80 GAA, 0.906 Sv%. Will finish his NHL career with a 2.94 GAA.

These are the results we need to focus on. It’s clear whatever the f*** Schwartz teaches young goalies doesn’t work in the NHL, and the reason why he should have been fired long ago. Now please continue to defend him by making up strawmen about period to period performance…

Had he coached Hart and Jerry before?
Do they have goalie coaches?

If you don’t believe me, maybe you will believe Gregor:

Dustin Schwartz is bad at his job, plain and simple. We will never win a Cup if we continue to intentionally employee people who the data says are bad their jobs, both on the ice and off it.

Ahh. So Schwartz was Jarrys goalie coach to get him to the NHL & be an all star?
Anything on Hart?
HF Oil, just continue being you
And that HF Oil poster(s) actually think they know whether Schwartz is good bad or indifferent at his job do is comical

Ten years, goaltending never a strength. If you believe he’s good at his job then you can’t ever complain about goaltending again.

Can you refute the data I posted, or no?

A career AHL'r/backup & a late 2nd rounder who made it to the NHL in spite of his lack of athleticism.
Yes, its the goalie coach. Good thinking

Still not offering a counterpoint to the numbers posted. Wonder why that is?
The couterpoint was the question if he was coaching those guys previous to this year (in the case of Jarry) & previous to last year (in the case of Hart).
Also have they had other goaltending coaches?

You weee literally shown evidence that Schwartz has been Jarry’s coach for ten years. Are you actually Dustin or something?

We know for a fact Schwartz has had a hand in picking the goalies that this organization has acquired over the years. He was a big reason why the organization signed Jack Campbell.

I think its also fair to ask why over a 10 year span that has seen 7 head coaches (Eakins, Nelson, McLellan, Hitchcock, Tippet, Woodcroft and now Knoblauch) and 5 GMs (MacT, Chiarelli, K. Gretzky, Holland and now Bowman) we continue to employ the same goalie coach the entire time. Especially when you consider that outside of a couple outlier seasons, this team has had below average to god awful goaltending the entire time.

Are you actually Dustins jilted ex girlfriend or something?

I wont deny the bolded whatsoever. But to blame the goalie coach, and to be so certain about it, for the goalie being shit is laughable, particularly in light of the fact that in the case of Skinner he was a relative long shot to make the NHL,a finalist for rookie of the year, was the goalie that went to the SCF, & is extremely limited athletically.
Maybe the goalies are just shit on their own accord?.
I wonder if Vegas is blaming their goalie coach for Aidan Hill being shit

Gosh, I can’t really remember the last time we’ve had a consistently reliable goalie.
Was it Dubnyk with a smaller sample size? If not I think we’d have to go back to Tommy Salo.

Dude, stop. You are getting eaten alive in this argument. You have been shown stats, metrics, and articles that you are wrong - and you keep clinging to arguments like “he made it to the NHL”. Set your bar higher.

He’s also been his coach up to the present day when he is not an NHL quality goalie. You can’t have it both ways.

Do either of those guys have/had goaltending coaches on their teams?

So is your assertion that Jarry’s NHL goalie is responsible for his bad play? If so, what does that say about Schwartz’s influence on Skinner as his day to day coach?

What you DUDE dont seem to get is may the fact that a career NHL backup /AHL'e and a late 2nd rounder, extremely limited athletically goalie cant stop the puck is maybe cause they're just shitty and it not on the coach.
These other guys have had Schwartz when they were good. As well as other goalie coaches.
I guess nuance is lost on you BRO.
