Fans will never be happy. “Let them play”, “call penalties”. I’m no fan of the refs but allowing the players to decide the game is not indicative of the NHL pushing for certain teams over others. I’m a-ok with allowing them to play, and that’s from a fan who’s team would greatly benefit from a high penalty count.

And thats why i dont like those Matinpalo and Armia bs calls. But so far those things have not been favoring europeans

As a US fan, this feels a bit like a trap game. I'm nervous about getting goalie'd. The Finns aren't great on paper, but they almost always outperform their roster.

Our top scores will need to be patient, and be okay with relying on garbage goals.

I expect a close game through 2, then USA breaks through in the third.

Finland is a proud hockey nation, I don't see them folding the tent.
