Meh not like I expected him to drive the play at this tourney its not like he does it in liiga either but woulda thought he'd be able to use his shot more with linemates getting easy zone entries for him 5v5 and on the pp

The first couple of games he was just floating and looking for a soft spot to shoot from .. not supporting or initiating any puck battles.. I thought he got a little better but has more to go. He looks a little overwhelmed with the pace to me

What are you talking about? Lambert got muscled off the puck once that period and did some nice puck carrying in the zone when he got it. But the play never died on his stick once from a decision of his unlike Parssinen and Jarventie.

Slovakia again terrrible effort in the 1st period. No line can generate any pressure in o-zone. The difference is the coaching. The D is coached to play it safe after they cross the red line so they are always too late or too far to provide any support on the blue line.

In Ilves he never did much anything else other than stand around tbh, i thought his positioning was pretty good but that's it.

More of the latter. I do think that he's having a much easier time playing for Ilves (currently tied for best team record in Liiga), than if he was playing for another team.
