That's not true at all.
They aren't much better as is evident each year in this very tournament. But yeah enough for the OT for me.
I'm sorry but how is that evident if the actual top players are playing in the Stanley Cup playoffs in the same time? Again, the rosters we would see on Best-on-best tournaments would be very different than what we see now. They aren't much better as is evident each year in this very tournament. That's too bad. What I meant by that is: obviously Draisaitl would be by far the best player for us Germans, but 90% of the viewers have never really seen him play so they have no idea how big the difference between a guy like Draisaitl or a guy like Plachta is
Well as previously said, 95% of the casual viewers in Germany ( and I imagine in other european countries as well) have never watched an NHL game, dont really know NHL players and have no idea how much better NHL players are. It's also very hard for them to imagine that a World Championship does not feature the best players.
And even if they know all of this, it simply does not mean that much to them.
I think many north americans vastly overrate the importance of the NHL to european hockey
Endorsement deals for hockey players in Germany? lol. Nah, Nowitzki, F1 drivers (at least years ago) and football players, hardly anyone else getting endorsements.Does Draisaitl get a lot of endorsements in Germany?

So Germans really don't realize how good he is?Endorsement deals for hockey players in Germany? lol. Nah, Nowitzki, F1 drivers (at least years ago) and football players, hardly anyone else getting endorsements.
Basketball player?No. He's no Nowitzki.
So Germans really don't realize how good he is?
That's a shame but I assume the same thing would happen if there was a terrific Canadian soccer player. As we say in Canada, "No pucks, No bucks".
I'll take your word for it.Also, Draisaitl is no Nowitzki when it comes to personality. He's quite reserved and "safe" in interviews sadly.
