GDT: Finland Vs Canada | 7:30PM ET | Group A - Canadian Tire Centre

I got the goal differential right but wrong score. I'm very proud of myself.

Good job Finland.. you showed a lot of fight and can still have a great tourney! This is a building block.

Canada.. you glorious bastard. All you do is win.lol
Kinda like some other Hockey Team playing in Canada?:sarcasm:
Hint: where the Golden Boy resides.

Just curious on people's thoughts - I know it's only game one of the round robin but would you rather a 4-0 win over Finland or a 10-4 win over Germany?

Can't say this didn't go as expected. If anything it looks closer than it was due to all the shots Finland could generate on the PP in that third period.

4-0 all day...Finland is a contender and goaltending has been a weaker part of our game lately. I'm very happy with our performance.

Somebody better remind Tanner Howe that this is the World Juniors, not the NFL....lol. Nonetheless, great victory for Canada and glad to see Carter George picking up the shutout along with the rest of his teammates helping him out with the blocked shots on the penalty kill.

Giving up 4 to Germany should be the biggest takeaway from their game.

I’d rather not draw conclusions based on one game each. If we apply this exercise to last year you’d have much rather been Canada with a solid win over a good Finland team that nearly medaled as opposed to the US beating Norway 4-1. We all know how that tournament ended

It's not a close game outside of the last 5 minutes and the scoreboard.
The most dangerous thing in hockey is a two-goal lead.

Canada up 2-0 trapped in their own end with Finland pressing in the third period was a very close game.

The only shots on net that matter are the ones that go in.
