Those were the days when people thought he won't gonna make the NHL cuz too much of a dangle guy.

He really reinvented his game nicely to be an effective NHLer, he just leaves you wanting for more though

Me too! Decade and we have a good chance at semis this year. Need some wins and national confidence. Blumel and jiricek seem NHL bound as well so that is a great bonus.

Ftr... Its possible Finn's would beat us like this even if we needed the win. They are damn good

I disagree with Czechboy. Czech fans have the unfortunate tendency of talking the team down. The Czechs have looked better than this in the past few games, no question about it. Given that anything other than a Czech regulation time win is good for the Czechs, they are resting the keeper and generally taking it easy. They are most certainly not throwing the game, but they will focus on conserving strength for the quarter finals and avoiding injuries. This is not to take anything away from Finland’s superior performance - but that will also have to do with the fact that a Finnish win is good for Finland… and for the Czech Republic!!

We have not medalled here since 2011. The World Juniors were 2005. The last Olympic Medal is 2006? We got destroyed by the Swedes. We lost to Austria.

I cheer to the end but let's be realistic here.
