It would have been very irresponsible
to allow Lundell play in these U20 WJC's with half recovered elbow injury.

Estimate or not six weeks recovery of elbow injury is still 6 weeks recovery of elbow injury

Raipe was fourth choice. First was Pennanen, he wasn't available yet. Second and third choices were Tuomas Tuokkola and Marko Virtanen, and they both said no. Probably because it was only 1-year deal. God only knows who was the fifth choice.

But no, Helminen should not be fired.

Yeah, pretty much this. We are one damn pessimistic nation... Raipe doesn't need to be a tactical genius if he has people in his team taking care of that side and has the sense to let them do it. His last time wasn't really that awful, we were one unlucky bounce away from the final with a very uneven team.
