DominatingWhat was it he was supposed to be doing in the OHL, again?
What was it he was supposed to be doing in the OHL, again?
He takes 3 steps and he’s at the other end of the rink.We might have made a mistake.
We might have made a mistake.
I dont know how he looked at Lavals camp, all reports say he did well, but I think the plan was to send him to the CHL all along. Nothing hurry, we have like 3 kids that should crack the roster next year (Heineman, Ylonen, RHP), so we had the luxury to send that kid down, dominate the CHL to boost his confidence and then possibly a full year in Laval before cracking the main. Thats at least the way Im seeing it.Effortless. He’s killing it, I wonder if Laval was pressured to send him down by Habs management? I missed the Laval camp, was he that bad?
What a waste of complete time.

He's too f***ing good for the OHL..... "but but but if he was that good why was he drafted late?"
But but but my aaaaa***** the nhl scouts are clowns, Mesar makes everyone look bad now. He's stuck in the OHL for 1 year??? gawd damn....
i said i was expecting 120 pts minimum from him this year, scratch that...this guy is going to hit 190 pts at least.
He'll be fine. Remember Draisaitl and Suzuki went back to the CHL after they were drafted.
Slaf is surviving in the NHL now, not thriving like Ovechkin in his rookie year. I'm not certain just surviving in a higher league is better than obliterating a lower league. When you dominate a league if your peers you learn how to dominate a league of your peers - on an NHL sized ice surface.
lol Mesar with the 4-point game so far. Lovin it.
He still needs 2 points to catch Beck...
Our posting shall be at his Beck and call, in the interim. He still needs 2 points to catch Beck...
One thing that influenced my perspective is an MMA instructor saying it was good for MMA fighters to fight lower opposition so they got to practice all kinds of different finishing skills.Mesar is too mature for the OHL, there's a risk he's going to develop bad habits and or take it too easy. Those kids down there have nothing to show him, he's just too good. But i agree its an excellent opportunity to polish and develop new skills.
I just hope next year they guarantee him a spot on the roster because a talent like this one you can't waste it. As far as im concerned he's the real 1st OA.
I'm not concerned for him, I'm concerned for the rest of the league. If Suzuki and Draisaitl can go back to the CHL in their D+1 year, so can Mesar - and Slaf.
Pinelli has 3 goals and Mitchell Martin got 4 assists. It was a bounty of points for a lot of ayers, not just Mesar. This team is meant to go far this year so it's expectedWhat a waste of complete time.

You think He's going to crush the single season OHL scoring record set in '83? Outscore Kane, McDavid, Lindros, and even Corey Locke? OK then. What a waste of complete time.

Slaf is not surviving, he is making a marked progression game after game, he is physically too strong, too powerful for the CHL.He'll be fine. Remember Draisaitl and Suzuki went back to the CHL after they were drafted.
