Sorry, where and when exactly was he putting up 1.5 ppg? Don't see that anywhere on his stat sheet.

First....it was never about being more physical. It was about being better at absorbing the North American physicality of the game. And frankly, this will always be asaked to every player Euro or not that doesn't have that tendancy to often play the body and absorb it. Actually MSL in 2024 said that he was REALLY satisfied with Mesar's progression......Also to get the puck, you need to know what to do without it. You actually play more without it then with it. Every player ALSO needs to improve, no matter if you are offense first. It's the NHL. It's getting tougher and tougher. And the more you want to make a difference and play in the playoffs...it's even tougher. So no idea where your narrative is all about here.

Frankly, I have more questions marks about his abilities to be as dynamic as we once saw prior to the draft. Question of confidence? Maybe. But could it also be a question of trying to avoid the tougher game?

My mind is made up about the guy. BUT there's no way the guy is worth anything right now so might as well put him in a top 6 role and play him often to see where this can go. Hopefully he racks some points....and become a value in a trade.

I will never base my opinions of players because of their 1st camp. I can name you a gazillion of players who do good and that theire 1st camp is actually their best camp. Excitement. Expectations. And frankly, skilled players always look good at first. Juraj Mikus looked like Nikita Kucherov at camp. While Ryan White looked like the worst version of himself...guess who played in the league.

Now, again, it could be because of a gazillion factors. But reality is that I will believe that we are close to an end-result....yet...I want him to be on our top 6 in Laval surrounded by the best we can offer. Unless we have a taker this summer where we can trade same types of players....
