That is the question posed in my last post. If he does come back and play the remaining 2-3 games for example that opens up the option for a buyout no?

Yeah it does, barring another injury or Chytil claiming that he was rushed back and isn't fully healthy or had a setback.

Actually, while Chytil looked flashy at times out there, and clearly was one of their faster forwards, the bottom-line was pretty underwhelming. He had just two goals and four assists in 15 games. Not exactly the pace of true second-line center.

Tocchet didn't think he'd play again this season.....so it's pretty unlikely that he's back for the last couple of meaningless games. And I don't think they're counting on him for next season.

Hate to break it to everyone but he’s most likely done.

This is his 7th concussion in 3.5 seasons and one of those concussions damn rear cost him a season.

We won’t see him again this season.

One of the few nuggets of positivity came via Tocchet in his pre-game presser. Apparently Chytil is back in a regular blue practice jersey, so is able to absorb contact. According to Tocchet his concussion wasn't nearly as bad as the one he had in New York, which kept him out most of the season.

Still think a long hockey career for Chytil is probably a long-shot.....but apparently he'll be back in training camp next year competing for a spot in the top-six. Just not sure the Canucks can count on him as a long-term solution.
