No one here is “pretending to know more than the team.” Brian Boyle isn’t on the team.

Brian Boyle is a Rangers media source, a Rangers reporter and employed by the team and Up in the Blue Seats podcast lead. Of course he has an inkling about if or what kind of impact Rempe is having.

People said, with very good reason, that it’s probably a good idea to make Rempe the guy to come out when Chytil is ready, to which a poster said “but what kind of message will that send to the room?”

Not the move to make until the Rangers lose. There's no reason to. Let Chytil skate more, get his legs under him, etc...
If anyone is pretending to know stuff it’s the person who is implying a locker room meltdown if Rempe is scratched. No reason to believe that will be the case if Lavi decides it’s best.

Nobody is saying that the room will melt down. Stop with the over the top hyperbole. It WILL have an impact to some degree if you're making a lineup change to a team that's won five playoff games in a row.

This Ranger team has proven, so far, to be a very resilient group but why mess with the sauce when it's successful.

Nobody, to my knowledge, has said Rempe is a better player than Chytil. There's a lot to consider here though. Rempe out and Chytil in messes with lines that are currently successful no matter where you put him unless it's on the 4th line (where he clearly doesn't belong).

Well said. I can't fathom being so damn arrogant to not understand this. It's really just laughable and why I'm having a hard time not getting warned in this thread right now. I really hate this gaslighting bullshit from some and it's probably one of my least favorite things to deal with IRL.

I have zero time, patience, or respect for that bullshit.

You ABSOLUTELY implied it. GTFO of here with this crap.

I didn’t. I have an opinion and my opinion is just as valid as anyone who speculates the room will implode and that includes Brian Boyle.

The only person not arguing in good faith here is you. Good day.

Who has said this? Literally no one has said this.

Stop gaslighting and lying. You don't even know what Boyle has said and you're commenting on it. Just comical stuff. You can't even be bothered to research that.

Is there literally anything you spend time on before you post or do you just type everything out without any source or citation?

Chytil should be back next game

🎶 Whatever Laaaaaavi wants . . . Laaaaaavi gets 🎵

It may be a tough decision messing with a lineup in the 2nd round but if Chytil is healthy then he really should be playing. He's been practicing for nearly 4 weeks now and should be good to go I would think. He makes the lineup deeper and more versatile and is just the far better player. It's also concerning that the refs have Rempe on the radar and he can't breathe on somebody without a penalty. Today's call against was another weak ass call. It's going to hurt this team eventually against Carolina. I also don't believe in the "they can't make a change until they lose" stuff. If he is physically ready to go and has his timing back then he should be in the lineup. We have enough other guys to handle the toughness thing against Carolina.

Great! I've repeatedly said that he could basically do anything and I'd be fine with it. He's earned that.

Lavi could put Chytil with Bread and bench Trocheck and I'd give it at least a game before I questioned it.

He knows his team. If he thinks that's the case, he'll do it and it'll be fine. If he thinks he can wait, I'm also sure he's right.

The origin of my entry into this debate was literally someone saying “what kind of message will it send the room?” I quoted it. It was an implication that the room will suffer if we pull out Rempe.

We have no idea what the room wants. The room might want Chytil (hence my sarcastic "the room wants Chytil," response). He’s certainly a better player. It's just as likely that is the case, frankly.

No one said it verbatim, but the insinuation that “it could break the room,” is no more substantiated than the suggestion that plugging in Chytil might strengthen the room. We don't know. It’s a spurious argument against putting Chytil in.

As I said before, there may be lots of reasons against putting in Chytil.

The fear that it will break the room is not a legit one. If Lavi does it, we can all feel very confident it's not going to break the room.

And no, Brian Boyle is not the pinnacle of credibility of this subject.

No one is pretending "they know more than the team." I never, ever said they should put in Chytil over Lavi's objections.

I reject the notion, though, that Chytil being inserted will break the locker room. No evidence of that. Even if Lavi keeps him out, it's just as likely it's any number of other reasons.

Did he say anything?

No. He's trolling, lol.

Cite the post that said the room would "melt down."

Your quote. We didn't say it. Also, Boyle didn't say it either. And no one implied that he said it.

Someone MUST have said it since you would neeeeever gaslight on here.

To repeat myself,

The origin of my entry into this debate was literally someone saying "What kind of message will it send the room?" .... it was an implication that the room will suffer if we pull out Rempe.

Here's the post:

haohmaru said:

Not a great message to send to a team that won four in a row and is something like a ridiculous 17-2 with him in the lineup. Not sure how that goes over in the room or with the player for a guy that hasn't played a competitive hockey game since early November.

Not sure how else to take that but an implication that the room will suffer. It says "NOT A GREAT MESSAGE TO SEND."

Of course, I could ask you to cite the post where I said I know more than the team on this issue, but then you'll fall back on it being "implied." Pot meet kettle, gaslighter.

This is a very long-winded way of saying that no one said what you claimed was said.

Without claiming anyone said anything beyond the actual text of that linked post, I read that to be an implication that the room will suffer if Rempe is pulled out.

Is that not what it implies? Legit question.

I'm asking an honest question because frankly I don't think we are really very far apart in what we believe on this matter, ultimately (that if Lavi inserts Chytil into the lineup over Rempe then that's the right decision).

You just want to fling ad hominem attacks. We all know who isn't showing good faith here.

f*** it. I am going to delete all of what I posted, there.

I'd rather not fight with another Rangers fan. Just please don't pull the anecdote crap with me going forward. I despise that stuff and you're not an idiot so you shouldn't have to rely on that stuff.

Chytil should be line 3. Wenn to line 4. Rempe to the press box. We all know that makes the team better.

BUT, it is nice that we have the option to try and change momentum if we go down in a series with Chytil. I just think it’ll wrongly be Chytil for Jack.

The Rangers are a whole different team with Chytil in the lineup instead of Rempe. They suddenly have a 3rd line that can add offense and not just attempt to cycle on offense. Also, their 4th line with Wennberg instead of Rempe can take regular shift, even late in the game. Vesey-Wenn-Goodrow would be an excellent shutdown line. With Chytil, the team has depth. The whole bottom-6 looks very different.

Chytil is a veteran who can take second line shift on many teams. Rempe is a rookie trying to establish himself as a 4th liner, but it's on par with our other 4th line guys (Vesey and Goodrow). It's really not up for a discussion if Chytil is healthy. The coaching staff would be committing malpractice to play Rempe over a healthy Chytil.

And if Lavi feels that way, great! And if not? Great! Right now, we've won 5-in-a-row. So whatever he's doing, it's working. Really all that matters.

It's nice having a coach that can be trusted.

I think many on here are suffering from PTSD from the last two brainlets that coached this team.

Has there been any updates with him at practice. How he has looked etc. feel like since playoffs start I haven’t heard anything about how he looks etc

Its nice to have a wild card like Chytil waiting in the wings. He adds another dynamic and is a match up nightmare for other teams 3rd pairings. He will be in at some point, and if he plays like we know he can,we can beat anyone

Justice Dept no doubt has FISA warrants signed to pick up Matthew tomm morning. First charge is "laughing in the penalty box "and 2nd is "Over aggressive high fives with Chris Kreider". Both Felonies according to the NHL officiating higher ups.

Matt also must register his right ass cheek as a deadly weapon in NY, California, and Maine.

Fighting over Chytil playing over Rempe will be moot after Tuesday. He's too big for the new NHL.
