Wasn't able to watch--did Chytil, Krav, and Laf have bad games? They seemed to have fewer minutes than usual (particularly odd for Chytil, who seems to have had GG's trust lately).

What happens first:
Kakko to PP1 or Kakko’s back to line 3?

Just kidding. We all know the answer.
yes we do. ugh

Missed a little of the first period but seemed like Chytil and Laf were pretty invisible.

Chytil didn't have a good game. Didn't create much, but at least one bad turnover that fortunately didn't end up in the back of the net.

Krav was active and contributed, mostly defensively and on breakouts and the cycle, but didn't get any great looks nor land on the scoresheet.

Laf was mostly invisible after the 1st period, and was on a line with Vesey (GRRRRR....) and Chytil most of the night.

2nd period had a lot of penalties on both teams. Every time that happens anyone not on special teams gets screwed on ice time. Def happened tonight.

3rd line (Laf, chytil, vesey) was pretty invisible, and also lost minutes because of the special teams.

Krav was ok, he's just been watching a bit too much of Panarin's "it's a million to 1 this pass will work but it'll look sweet if it does" tape and trying to emulate it

Florida looks like we looked during our losing streak and beginning of the turn around.

Really don't like their depth players and not sure there's a ton of chemistry out there right now. Which is bummer for them cause their retro reverse jerseys are cool. Powder blue is a nice hockey jersey color.]

Also, Panthers' color guy is former Ranger Randy Moller.

Trouba is cheeks. not the good kind.

There's a world where we can trade Panarin and Trouba in a supermegablockbuster 4team deal and get McDavid.

I wonder if we'd put him on PP1... we need all those righties for geometry

- Kakko was great today.

- Kravy was really strong along the walls. Made some really nifty plays. Was really important player on his line away from the puck. Good for him.

- Laffy made some decent defensive plays today. Still fighting it, but gotta build on small things right now.

- Only player that didn't look good to decent was Blais. He just doesn't have the footspeed right now. It's nowhere near what it was before the injury. He doesn't play the simplest, smartest game and when he isn't at full speed it's riskier than it needs to be. Good example, late in the game, he had the puck deep in Panthers zone. Likely could have just held onto the puck and burned some time but instead tried to force a pass into the middle. In general, I think the Rangers are guilty of forcing passes instead of just eating the puck along the walls in the O zone. Much better to eat and extend the play as help arrives. esp on the bottom 6 when those plays rarely if ever lead to a goal.

- could just be matchups creating a mirage, but I trust Schneids out there more than Troubs. And as much as that is an indictment of Troubs, it's far more of a compliment to Schneider. He has really become a reliable player out there.
I remember the good ol days when I predicted Schneider would within 1-2 years be able to handle Trouba’s assignments and was laughed at by people who didn’t know what they were talking about.

Thought the Rangers continued to play well. Solid effort from Halak tonight really carried this team through some parts of tonight. I also thought the passing was a lot sharper and overall the puck management was much stronger. Overall this is a stretch the Rangers really needed. 9 of the last 13 and 10 of the last 13 with points!

Here’s a trade everyone and their brother can tell you that Florida should have made last season:

Lundell for Buchnevich.

If you thought we got ripped off with the broadcast, the Isles are on ESPN with Hextall and Moore.

Halak with a very good game, perhaps his best as a Ranger. .914 save percentage is very good for him.

Still I had to go with all 3 on the top line as my 3 stars. This is the Kakko I have been waiting for.
