How many of our passes hit sticks!!!!
Shots get blocked
PK what is wrong with your I get the shot on net not through the boards!!
I can't stand Bourque!

Enough with the overpaying contracts on this team. I think this is why PK hasn't been signed yet. He isn't a 8 million defense men no matter what people here in hf thinks....:help:

Eller has taken a huge step backward this season... But I was talking about Bournival. Seems like Therrien wants him to take a step backward as well. Or maybe he truly believes Bourni's a 4th line grinder?

Bourni has been impressive and in MT fashion doesn't play him. I don't get it. If MB won't fire MT he needs to go also. This whole team is a mess!

If you knew anything about how murray has been sheltered, you'd realise that he gets an inordinate amount of offensive starts for someone who is supposedly a defensive specialist.

Yes. Douglas Murray has transformed our team, alright. Transformed into a team that gets regularly outshot and hemmed in our own zone.

LMAO. Bench Douglas Murray and we are simply a soft team that gets outshot and hemmed into our own zone. He does his job on most nights, no reason to pretend we suck because of him.

Ironic that you'd bring up advanced stats when you just said watching the game is what really matters.

If you are still ignoring the effect Murray has on our team, then you are still grasping to your ridiculous argument that he isn't an NHL defenseman. Not getting into that again!

When you need to make your defensive Dman start in the offensive zone, it's not a good thing.
Murray sucks. Diaz should be in. He doesn't transform jack crap.

What's interesting with Murray is that he's starting 65% of the time in the offensive zone, and most of the praise is based on his play around his own net.

Here's the thing - when you are pinned in your own zone despite starting your shift in the offensive zone...you are doing something wrong.

Face it gang, Murray was signed for one reason only: as a plug, a backup, a relief valve ;)

Getting outshot and outscored is advanced stats now? Jesus, the hockey community must have had trouble in math class.

So are people really still not noticing that Subban/Markov have been left scrambling most often for extended periods, and even missing more assignments, in our defensive zone? Or, more importantly, that not a single pairing sticks out as getting hemmed in more/less often than any other?

But anyway, I think there's an advanced stats disconnect somewhere here, because looking beyond just the offensive zone starts, I see that Murray actually has one of the very best offensive zone finish %s on the team, which suggests that we're actually better at getting offensive zone faceoffs with him on the ice. So either the Habs move the puck up ice just fine when he's on the ice, or he's helping to keep a LOT of pucks in the offensive zone. Or, obviously (and more likely) an under-appreciated combination of both.

Stop it....I said there was something wrong with PK and people want to throw 8 million a year at this guy! HAHAH!

Yea, we should let him go via a GM that thought signing Briere for 4M for 2 years was a good idea. This would be a much better plan than signing him.

Your ok with another overpaid defense man...I'm not. So we should sign Markov to a overpriced contract as well?!?! Thats what has gotten this team into trouble right now.

What has gotten this team into trouble is sign crap players. Overpaying is irrelevant.
Overpay for a Norris winner? Ya, that's not a problem.
