Islands in the stream.
Rookie brain on that last goal. Paralyzed with his decision making and chip shot up top where Daddy keeps the porno. Has to make a quick decision there. Of course the Oilers were buried in their own zone basically the last minute including a dman failing to tie up the Bruin in the kill zone.

Can't work so hard and give games away with brain f***ery in own zone play and goaltending that just can't back up the need to bail out a leaky team. Absolutely killer, deflating goal after working themselves back to evens in a low shot game. Self induced.
yeah but its your goalie self imploding. Thats a nothing play and doesn't result in a GA if Skinner doesn't fill his pants. He's done this several times on GA now. Its far from isolated. He's bad at covering pucks and using his stick.

Forwards not the problem if we get them to buy in. This game should make it obvious D is where we need help. Nurse and Ceci effing nightmare.

Unpopular opinion: Stuart Skinner hasn't been very good this year. He's maybe stood on his head twice the whole season. Almost every other game he's let in terrible goals only to have decent stretches throughout the game. It doesn't matter who's in net between him and Campbell. It's 100% guaranteed for bad goals to be let in, sprinkled with a few great saves. There's a reason he's not .500. Yes the D in front of him has been bad, but it doesn't excuse the horrendous goals that go in multiple times every game

That's certainly an opinion. One that doesn't have a modicum of fact to back it up.

So what should be do with him then. Send him down to the farm until September? This is pro sports. Lot of guys that play are new fathers. Terrible excuse.
Is it?

The same thing happened with Dubnyk and Talbot. This was always a worry for anyone that was paying attention. Goalie more than any other position is all mental. A new kid can really *%*% with your head.

Indeed. Any goalie with a brain just dives on that puck which is just sitting there. I wouldn't carp on it but its so regular with him having trouble decisioning on pucks that are just laying around. he just stares at them wondering. I mean he's the goalie, he has the advantage there of being able to glove the puck and he loses the high noon on hesitation. Which cost him the goal.
He got lucky earlier in the period on that close in shot by Debrusk where he either tried to poke the rebound away or cover it up and missed. You’re right it’s an ongoing problem with him.

Just tuning in. Did we trade for 2 top 4 D yet?

Holland still having a nap.

The guys are playing well overall though, it’s been a competitive game and a battle.

We absolutely need an upgrade on D though

Skinner is a new father which as anyone who has kids knows how difficult the first months with a kid are.

The sleep deprivation and stress of being a new father are real.
uhh ridiculous excuse

Cherry pick examples. Give me a bunch more who had kids but didn't suddenly collapse.
