OT: Favorite S****Y Beer

I haven’t had a Sam Adams I’ve liked. There’s just a flavor to all the ones I’ve tried that tastes bad to me.

Sam’s beers are all pretty good. They e been doing it for a long time. Summer, Oktoberfest, 76 and the regular ones are my fav.

They are trying to compete with the fad we are seeing. Most of the beers that are coming out are crap. I wonder how many people drink them to fit in. They are too strong and you can only have so many before your on your ass.


The summer beer of my choice is -Miller High Life. Coots lite if not available.

Personally for me it would be Molson Canadian,now maybe because it was the first time I got drunk and sick ,but haven’t been able to stomach since.Would also put Milwaukee’s Best on my list.Honourable mention to good Old Black Label ,didn’t mind the taste ,but man did it cause some bad obnoxious vapour the next day .Lol

I guess it depends what you're looking for. I'm down with the whole high alcohol IPA phase that is still going on. But that's because I will have one at night and that's it. That kinda stuff won't work for day drinking or having more than one, and will knock you out like you said.

I guess some people might drink them to fit in. My ideal night is slowly drinking one super strong IPA and reading by myself while everyone else is falling asleep.

Sam’s always gives me the biggest toilet cloggers. No other beer does that.

I forgot about Yeungling! the company I’ve worked w on and off for 16 years is based in the South so always had it at company meetings. Glad to see it has made its way here.

Early 2000s you could get a 20oz glass of Killians at Unos for 2$ - solid.

The good people of Pottsville PA would take exception to being labeled as "the South". Drank more than my share of Yeunglings when I lived in PA, it was a pretty good local beer back then.

I describe Coors Light as the beverage for those who hate the taste of beer.

I only drink beer on two occasions, when I'm alone or with friends.

Actually I've been into European Lagers and pilsners lately, Hofbrau, Paulaner, Carlsberg, Becks and St. Pauli Girl though the latter two are now made in USA. I still enjoy a Budweiser (hard).

I’m non beer drinks, my go to for sitting on the beach this summer has been: 1.5oz white rum, 1.5 oz gin and 6-10oz raspberry ice tea.

Pretend you’re sitting at an outside bistro on the Champs Elysee overlooking the Arch de Triomphe. Wouldn’t even a Yeungling taste good?

I enjoy a good Blue Moon or similar style craft beer.

These days I drink more wine than beer.

I dont drink much beer. Only if Im eating something where a beer or two feels right. My preference are the dark beers. Porter or stout.
Otherwise a good red wine.
But mainly water. Lots and lots of water.

OT: I enjoy a gin martini every evening whilst viewing the PBS NewsHour.

Always accompanied by water, which I drink day/night, and often with an hors d'oeuvre.

Not like it's that shitty but I've been on a Blue Moon kick lately... I like that they sell them in 15 packs but their deadly addicting.. if it's like a Friday or Saturday night and most/all of my xbox club NHL friends (who I've known for a long time) are on I'll put down like 12 of them without even realizing it while we are playing... for some reason staring at a 65" screen playing and laughing does it to me.
