I was banging a flyers fan back then. She was giving me all kinds of **** than night And remember 98-99 was a pretty ****ed up year, Storr and Fiset hurt in the same game, Blake suspended, then hurt because his skates were too tight or something (**** you Roenick), didn't Glenn Murray blow his knee out too, Duschene was our supposed savior and he was dumped for Dave Lumberjack Babych, and we sometimes had an ******* in net that wore a Red Wings mask.

Either way, this flyers fan was giving me all kinds of crap that night when it got tied up, I told her that if the Kings won that game, she was doing everything that she previously objected to if you know what i mean

I was at this game with my dad. It was the first time I ever witnessed my favorite team advance to the next round. We had gone the year before and got swept by the Red Wings 4-0 so this was a little more sweeter. Just the celebrating of the players, Bob's voice, the loud crowd, just so much fun. I remember walking through the concourse and chanting "Bring on the Avs!" We were all on cloud 9.

The players have said that this was one of the moments they loved the most from the 2012 cup run. Said it was the loudest they ever heard Staples. I was there and couldn't agree more. This was the moment I thought we could definitely go all the way that year.

I too was at the Flyers game in 98-99. I remember wanting to go to see Lindros. Such a wild result and end to a game. That for a long time was my favorite game I attended just because the last season at the Forum and the fact of how crazy that last goal was.

Obviously Scott Parse on Kiprusoff. He's going to get a camp invite and become the 2nd line LW I always knew he could be.

Want to talk pretty goals for real though...check out Patty O. Still love the shorthanded breakaway he dropped on Nashville. Such a shame those hands couldn't make it.

My favorite goal of all time is Martinez's goal in game 5 of the SCF this past year. Some other notables are Kopitar's SH goal against the Blues in 2012. Going back a little further, Demitra's 3rd goal for the hatty on Hat night at staples was great just because the influx of hats on the ice that ensued. Kopitar's first goal where he beat Pronger going down the right wing and roofed it.

The first goal on this video

Great one touch pass to Muzzin and Doughty put it right on JDub's tape

The final goal of the season last year is pretty epic. OT winner for the cup does not happen very often, and is one of those moments where you will always remember where you were when it happened.
10 years from now we will be celebrating Martinez's goal, and whatever happens in his career he will always live in infamy.

That one -- that's when the Canucks were broken. So sweet.

I always wonder if Kings said to Stoll afterwards, "DUDE!! I was open, had a wide open net... just pass it over next time, huh....?"

NO chance in hell Stoll was going to pass that puck.

And also this goal wouldn't have happened without the hustle from Lewis. He takes some ^#$%& around here, but the guy is all heart.

This was the goal that really got me thinking that this team could beat any other team. and against Vancouver to close out a series?... that much sweeter. :handclap:
