I just noticed Luke Adam is with Tahoe. Spent years in Europe and showed up stateside to captain this team. What's the tie? I assume they gave him some money comparable to the DEL.
This THN article from last October links the early Luke Adam signing with Head Coach Alex Loh's philosophy of recruiting "the best players you can get your hands on. You can generally mold guys to what you’re expecting, but it’s hard to teach talent.”

Just getting wind of Kalamazoo’s new arena being built. I love the current 5,400 seat K-Wings Stadium, but look forward to the new downtown arena for K-Wings Games and Western Michigan University Division “1” hockey games and basketball games, which will seat between 6,000 to 6,500. Way to go Kalamazoo!

I'd bet the majority of K-Wings fans are bemoaning the eventual venue change. The Stadium has "charm" that is endearing (but not enduring). 😢

Finally going to my first Fuel game in Fishers in March. My brother has a photography class that'll take place during the Iowa game and I'm coming along.

It's a dank shit hole, but dank shit holes are a dying breed as we build venues with a ton of suites.

Fishers is very nice as a new arena should be. Its like a mini NHL arena, the facilities for the players are great as well. The Fuel have one of the very best owners in the ECHL. They even have an arena attached to their private team only apartments although that arena goes unused by the Fuel which is a missed opportunity IMO.

As a WMU Alumni, the "Lawson Lunatics" might have to rebrand themselves after being one of the most rowdy crowds in college hockey for quite a while. The K-Wings and Broncos are both due for a new arena though, I think it will work out well for Kalamazoo. Aside from attending a K-Wings game maybe 4 years ago, I haven't been to Kalamazoo since college. Seeing the new arena once its done seems like a good reason to go visit the town where I actively wiped several years from my memory while living there:laugh:

The Fuel Tank at Fishers facility was built as part of the Hallett partnership strategy to grow ice hockey interest in the Greater Indianapolis area, and that it has done very successfully. The two "Tank" rinks are almost constantly in use by the public, 7 mornings/afternoons/nights per week. Sometimes you've gotta think bigger picture when you're a owner of a sports franchise, a lesson to be learned by the likes of whatever group is trying to bring ECHL hockey to NM.

Oh, you mean the Fuel Tank? Yeah, that actually gets a lot of mileage with midget level and rec leagues.

Yeah it gets a lot of use for local hockey stuff, but not even using it for Fuel practices or optional skates is a missed opportunity. Not even having to leave your residence for a morning skate on a gameday would be awesome. It would be cool if there were a couple times a week where the ice was wide open for the players to do whatever they want, they might even be able to get away with it not being counted as a practice sanctioned by the team.

So you're advocating the players take an action to circumvent the terms of their collective bargaining agreement with the League and/or of their teams agreements as members of the ECHL? "awesome" and "cool" you say ... hmmmmmm..........:nono:

Well, if it isn't technically sanctioned by the organization and is not breaking any rules what is the harm? I literally see no downside.

OK, so what you're characterizing as "a missed opportunity" isn't being "missed" by the Fuel ownership, but it's "missed" by the players who are not paying for ice time @ The Tank? If that's your logic, you must think ECHL players should carve out budget from their salaries and time from their weekly schedules to skate on their own regularly when they are already skating regularly as a team. I'm still "missing" your definitions of "awesome" & "cool" then.

I'm honestly surprised anyone would take the time to be bothered by that post. Does anyone else ever read a reply and just think to themselves "this isnt even worth the debate"?
