What's your favorite Habs player off all time that wasn't a star. And why!
Petr Svoboda is my all time favorite player.
In 1984 at age 10, I played ice hockey for Saint-Jean-de-Matha and was given a jersey with the number 25. Looked who had the number 25 on the Habs and everything else is history.

He was with us for like half a season but still was one of my favourite players.

Another "vote" for Lyle Odelein. My favorite Hab of all-time is Mats Naslund (which is probably extremely frequent in my demographic group) but I think he can legitimately be considered a star for our purposes.
Amongst more "recent" players, Robert Lang.

Came to post Odelein as well, I have his jersey and when I play pick up hockey everyone loves it. Underrated tough as nails defencemen.

Petrov is another good one, I bet he would have flourished if he played most of his career in the post lockout NHL with less clutch and grabbing.

Paul Dipietro, or Mike Keane The type of clutch play and heart you need to win it all.
Maybe the modern day version of these guys would be Weise and Gallagher.
