TBH, I think having Strome as your top line center will kill any chances of being voted highly.

I really appreciated all of your charts though.
Panarin dragged New York to 9th place in their division, and Hellebuyck had Winnipeg in the playoffs.

It's insane or at least disingenuous to think that because my first line doesn't have some bonafide line-carrying 1C that it's not a damn good one when Panarin is there.

Before I release the votes, everyone please stay civil. We're all competitive and it sucks if your team is just on the outside. I'm releasing the voting results in the google sheet you can see who f***ed you over (anonymously). But again, it's all for fun, everyone's opinions should be respected.

The points were calculated as;

1st place vote = 8 points
2nd place vote = 6.83 points
3rd place vote = 5.67 points
4th place vote = 4.5 points
5th place vote = 3.33 points
6th place vote = 2.17 points
7th place vote = 1 point
8th place vote = 0 points
It's all in good fun! I'm sure we'll be fine lol.

I never said that it was the right decision or not, I just don't think the average voter likes Strome there.

To be fair, Panarin is such a gifted player that he can raise the play of 2C to a 1C just how an elite 1C can make a 2W look like a legit 1W. But if you’re ranking that like against a team that has a legit 1C + 1W then I can see why someone would give the other team the edge over Panda.

The Atlantic was a tough one for me to judge. I think I had you in the middle of the pack if I recall correctly. I feel like your team was going to play some exceptional team defense, but would have too much difficult scoring. Shut down Panarin and then it’s game set match. Now obviously, that’s just my opinion and there are people on here (like yourself) that are far more knowledgeable about hockey than I am, but your teams’ scoring prowess was a bit of a deal breaker for me (in terms of me classifying your team as being truly elite).
My team is the best at tilting the ice in this entire thing, but it's not the best at putting the puck in. With Hellebuyck there, we would concede the fewest goals by a decent margin. Even if you were to shut down Panarin (which is like shutting down McDavid this season), there's still Buchnevich and Kreider is in a dream situation for crashing the net and tipping pucks given my defensive pairings and his linemates.

Very interesting standings I must say!

:habs is super excited to play Toronto in the playoffs, a full-on Canadian battle is a very fun round 1!

For me personally, I had Tampa #1 and Montreal out. I had Vancouver as a playoff team and Jets out. Other than that I think I can agree with the results.

Definitely surprised the Islanders didn't make it.

Florida deserves to be in though. Mackinnon, Doughty, Hall, etc, they have a pretty solid team.

The reason the Kings are in is because of how good Draisaitl is. Him and McDavid can completely change the outcome of a series.

That's why you vote :avs over :stars lol.
