American made wear are complete crap.
Not only its over priced but it will get bad after a few wash.
I bought t-shirts from funkybudha in greece and they last and still fit me after 8 years and 30 extra lbs for only 24 euros?
Dont waste your money on over priced goods, its not good for the environement.
Ah, the always expected Reddit type anti-American comment that infiltrates HF Boards far too frequently.
I don't want facts to get in your way pal, but if you think Fanatics t-shirts, or any team shirt, are made in the US I have some bad news for you...
Also, the environment...? Wut?
absolute nonsense the entire postDoesnt matter where they fabricated, they are made for the american market and commissioned by american compagnies. <-- American made.
Yes its alot worst for the environement. Let me do the math for you in simple terms.
150$ t-shirt? + tax = 172.5$ + shipping? 29.99$+TAX= 34.5$ =
207$ TOTAL
You make 25$/hour? At call center?
You need to work 8 hours. That means 8 hours of electricity to keep your computer running, your lunch, energy transportation to get you to work and home.
Thats for 1 t-shirt
That t-shirt goes bad after 3 months.
Boom another day of work wasted.
Where as you bought a quality made t-shirt for 30$ lasts you forever, boom costed less than 2 hours and ur done
.
Yet people are still buying this overpriced garbage.
There's a reason the prices are what they are. Its not fanatics fault , its the idiots who buy their stuff , everybody wants to blame big companies that farm idiots for free moneyStop feeding your consumerist addiction and you'll stop feeding these ripoff artists.
I still have shirts and jerseys from 15-20 years ago that I've kept in good condition and continue to wear. Koho and CCM branded merch that was very good quality. The stuff I bought from Reebok just was not anywhere near as good and I'm not even going to roll the dice on this trash from Fanatics.
People are shocked they cost $95? Sounds like Morning Joe Scarborough the other day saying that butter costs $3 only to be astounded when his co host said it was $7 in most places. “Is it wrapped in gold?” he replied.
All this stuff ends up on clearance at TJ Maxx.

It actually wasn’t.The replica jerseys were good, and better than what came after the regular merch was the same cheap stuff we’ve always had. It was just cheaper back then because how inflation works.Stop feeding your consumerist addiction and you'll stop feeding these ripoff artists.

The jerseys were very limited, the ones that ended up at TjMax were the undesirable ones and until recently you could still find them on the adidas website.This.
I think Reverse Retro 1.0 is the only time I paid full price for a jersey in my adult life, and I still got 20 percent off using a Sport Chek gift card deal. Those jerseys were genuinely limited.
The reality is that this stuff is so overproduced, and the value drops so rapidly when it's considered out dated, that there is no reason to pay full price for jerseys/merch.
It's basically an IQ test that even the current jerseys typically go 30-50 percent of during the off-season. I get the random mom or dad who doesn't follow sports who drops $400 on a jersey and a pair of commemorative Boston Bruins socks, but anyone who has been a fan for longer than a season or two should probably realize by now that merch goes on sale during the summer.

Im in Canada and a jersey collector. It might be different in the USA, but in Canada we get steep discounts on jerseys and merch all the time.
Reverse Retro 1.0, some of the US team special events jerseys, and some of the more popular R.R. 2.0 designs of less popular US teams are exceptions to the rule.
It's not always retired designs that are on sale. I recently could have picked up the new Fanatics Premium jerseys for $125. Which is still expensive, but it just illustrates how easy it is to find deals when the newest product is available at 35 percent off in the peak of the hockey season if you know where to look.
Basically, there is rarely a reason to pay full price because most jerseys are not difficult to get and there will always be steep sales.
I don't think it's "idiots" as much as companies figured out that there is no amount that the top 5% won't pay for nonsense and the rest of the people may limit their consumption a bit, but it's offset by the amount of money they will make from well off people's inelasticity. There's a reason the prices are what they are. Its not fanatics fault , its the idiots who buy their stuff , everybody wants to blame big companies that farm idiots for free money
That's the old reality.Bingo!
Dont buy ‘em and prices will drop.
You must not shop often ...... Absolute insanity, something has to give.
Browsing the Fanatics NHL shop is like browsing at the Armani outlets.
Yet people are still buying this overpriced garbage.
That's the old reality.
Suppliers have learned they might as well keep inventory as an investment cost carried over annually, while also selling their products at the absolute most they can possibly sell it chasing after those cash-laden whales. Why sell 4-5 T-shirts at an affordable rate when you can sell just one at an exorbitant rate and make the same profit margin?
Hasn't worked for my onlyfansBingo!
Dont buy ‘em and prices will drop.
Houses are expensive; not a problem. Food, gas, telecommunications, travel, utilities; whatever.
Hockey merch is expensive; what the hell is going on?!
