I bought t-shirts from funkybudha in greece and they last and still fit me after 8 years and 30 extra lbs for only 24 euros?

Doesnt matter where they fabricated, they are made for the american market and commissioned by american compagnies. <-- American made.

150$ t-shirt? + tax = 172.5$ + shipping? 29.99$+TAX= 34.5$ =

207$ TOTAL

You make 25$/hour? At call center?

You need to work 8 hours. That means 8 hours of electricity to keep your computer running, your lunch, energy transportation to get you to work and home.

Thats for 1 t-shirt

That t-shirt goes bad after 3 months.

Boom another day of work wasted.

That’s outta line with normal inflation though. If a t-shirt cost $30 15 years ago, and inflation averages around 3% per year.. that doesn’t come close to $95.

Reality is corporate profits are at an all time high, and shit like this is why. Many electronics have gotten cheaper, but anywhere there’s a quasi-monopoly, or just a basic good where they know they can gouge you- you’re paying more. Not because costs have gone up, but because corporate greed has, and our tolerance of their bullshit.

I think Reverse Retro 1.0 is the only time I paid full price for a jersey in my adult life, and I still got 20 percent off using a Sport Chek gift card deal. Those jerseys were genuinely limited.

The reality is that this stuff is so overproduced, and the value drops so rapidly when it's considered out dated, that there is no reason to pay full price for jerseys/merch.

It's basically an IQ test that even the current jerseys typically go 30-50 percent of during the off-season. I get the random mom or dad who doesn't follow sports who drops $400 on a jersey and a pair of commemorative Boston Bruins socks, but anyone who has been a fan for longer than a season or two should probably realize by now that merch goes on sale during the summer.

The reason some of the reverse retros, and special event jerseys are often discounted is because no one wanted/wants. Some of the designs of the RR1.0 were downright terrible, it was possible to get the Toronto RR1.0 for basically free few months ago, same with all star jerseys and those st Patricks day jerseys for most teams.

We do have it good here for jersey prices, I dont know anyone who pays full price for jerseys. Between pro hockey life, sportschek and various other retailers there’s always something on sale. Even better was Addias went from climalite- aero ready to prime green they blew out the ones heavily each time. Although i personally collect game worn or team issued jerseys exclusively and dont bother with the import jerseys anymore ( i have adidas versions and Reebok, ccm and Koho, pro player versions all the oiler jerseys, just not fanatics because they are basically the same as the adidas)

I don't think it's "idiots" as much as companies figured out that there is no amount that the top 5% won't pay for nonsense and the rest of the people may limit their consumption a bit, but it's offset by the amount of money they will make from well off people's inelasticity.

This is why the price of everything is going up and these companies are raking in record profits. It's not inflation as much as the companies knowing they can and will f*** the average consumer.

Why sell 4-5 T-shirts at an affordable rate when you can sell just one at an exorbitant rate and make the same profit margin?

Suppliers have learned they might as well keep inventory as an investment cost carried over annually, while also selling their products at the absolute most they can possibly sell it chasing after those cash-laden whales. Why sell 4-5 T-shirts at an affordable rate when you can sell just one at an exorbitant rate and make the same profit margin?

Keeping a high inventory of anything isnt a good business strategy. Its dead money.
